He didn't lol...sorry if that hurts your feelings but the dude looked fine. Movement and punches looked fine. Landed a good 3 punch combo at the end of round 1 that even though he got significantly outlanded, some people gave him the round because it caught GGG off guard and stunned him.

He just got rolled over once GGG got his timing...if you can't back GGG up or keep him honest he will roll through you. But I know with some people they just want to hate on GGG regardless so will look for any opportunity to do so.

And it's boxing so you can always try and find an angle. Just wish more people kept it real and weren't fanboys but hey what can you do.

Again most people on this site don't really care about what the facts are in any situation...just intent on hating or propping up some fighters regardless of what the data shows.

Watch any of Vanes' fights before that and then watch his GGG fight and you'll see the same guy. I know that's the case because I have. Lara is my 2nd favorite fighter of this generation so I remember watching Vanes early on.

The Vanes ''fight'' will look more competitive in comparison. Those hoping Rolls pulls off some Rocky esque miracle performance is setting themselves up for a massive letdown. Team GGG dug up Rolls for a reason.

What a dumb thread. Vanes Martirosyan drew with Lara, did that mean that Vanes could compete with Golovkin? Of course not.

Who are the 76 or whatever fighters better than Rolls at MW?

With a straight face how can you say there is a difference between how Vanes looks here? lol

Good point about certain styles - I agree that Vanes would always be more appealing to GGG because his lack of moment compared to a Lara. And also Vanes' mindset is not to box and move so he was staying in front of GGG too much.

But one point I made was that Rolls is about as good as Nicholson who is about as good as Aleem.

That's as fair as saying Vanes is about as good as Lara or Andrade or Charlo. Doesn't mean all of those guys would do the same against another guy. But it does help to put them all roughly at the same level.

Your thoughts though on Rolls beating Nicholson who drew with Aleem? Would put Rolls right about where Aleem is, which isn't bad.

And yes again that is a perfectly fine comparison. No one is saying Rolls is SRL, but I think his resume and film put him about on the level of an Aleem or Culcay which is much better than has been portrayed.

Also I disagree - I think Rolls lasts longer than Vanes, but then again that isn't tough to do.

Vanes imo looked fine against GGG, he didn't gas late, he just got run over because styles make fights.

Vanes is/was better than Rolls probably, but Rolls will be boxing and moving a bit more than Vanes tried to imo.

Will get him in a few rounds in.

Dude is 35, WITH LESS THAN 20 FIGHTS (because everyone was ducking him ?) and now you're analyzing his work because GGG dug him up ?!?!?

                    C'mon, now

A lot of comments..but besides mentioning Rolls' age and lack of experience in 10 round fights, no one has really made a case for why Rolls is so bad.

I don't think most people even commenting on him have watched him at all or looked at his resume. Yet they come on here and act like they are experts about him lol. Just bizarre, but that's the human condition for you.
