No. Not bashing him, but Floyd is no risk-taker. He knows his body is not the same anymore and he would never risk his 0 against any of the young lions. He is no doubt looking to make money of his name, but not via any proposition that could risk his legacy. Manny's sheer willingness to fight the young lions at 40 is crazy. He and Floyd are both great, but they are definitely NOT cut from the same cloth.

Maybe I got carried away with the young Lions.. but I see him risking it against Manny if he beats Thurman..

You take Floyd at any point in his career and the risks he took pale in comparison to Paquiao's. He's more calculated and unwilling to risk losing. His fighting style is the best example of this.

Not saying Pac's style is better or that Pac's greatness is above his BTW. He already proved who was better.

Not everyone is willing to take huge risks, and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, a lot of fighters are not facing each other nowadays because of Floyd IMO. He's boxing's biggest success story ever: an extraordinary talented guy who retired with the most amount of money AND took the least amount of damage. If I was a young kid who dreamt of being like any champion, I'd be ****** to pick any fighter not named FMJ.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not seeing where Pac took these huge risks and Floyd didn't. Who was the huge risk that Pac took? Margarito?

And this is not to downplay what Pac has done, as I believe both are great. But I'm not seeing where one is accused of avoiding risk and the other was throwing himself to the wolves.

Their styles are different because that's what they have to work with. Pacquiao's style is more predicated on power, along with speed. Mayweather, particularly as he has gotten older, is more about defense and he doesn't have the power that Pacquiao has. Pacquiao doesn't have the same technical skills, ring IQ (don't get me wrong. He has very high technical skills and ring IQ, but not quite at Mayweather's level. Just like Mayweather has pop, but nowhere near like Manny's.)

I do understand thatt Floyd's 0 was a huge part of his persona and success, and sure that made many boxers want to be like him. But as for what risks he avoided, I don't see it.

The testing is being done by the sanctioning body(wba).
Of all the fighters being caught for PEDs and with Pacquiao climbing all the weights don’t you think everyone and their grandma wants to catch this guy but never have or ever will because he never used PEDs. Google list of boxers caught using steroids. There’s 71 names there and some will surprise you.

What's even more strange is that Keith & Manny are enrolled in VADA & all championship bouts are supposed to have testing.

If there is no testing for this fight, people will point fingers at Manny but it's my understanding that the Nevada Athletic Commission is in charge of that. Fighters can't ask for there to not be drug tests.

has pac ever insisted on testing??? On the contrary, he's done plenty in his history to avoid testing. For his last fight, testing didn't start until Broner made it an issue. When Adrien Broner is the voice of reason, there's an issue.
