Heavyweights now vs Heavyweights in the 90s

Would the heavyweights of today...Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury...been even in the top 10? top 5?

Let's take the heavyweights of the 90s, not necessarily in a particular year but in their prime during that decade. I see a very high level of competition. Strongly built guys, good boxing skills, good heart, good chin, good punchers, and most importantly professionals putting in hard work.

Heavyweights of today, save top 3-4, aren't in great shape all the time. Looks like they just hit the gym whenever a fight is upcoming but not necessarily hard enough and do not have well-tuned, chiselled bodies.

Here's a list of top heavyweights (in my opinion) of the 90s.
    =====================================
    1. Mike Tyson
    2. Evander Holyfield
    3. Lennox Lewis
    4. Rid**** Bowe
    5. Ray Mercer
    6. Donovan Ruddock
    7. Andrew Golata
    8. David Tua
    9. Ike Ikeabuchi
    10. Tommy Morrison

The list is not necessarily in order. I see every single one of them giving great trouble to current heavyweights.

Wilder fury and Joshua would be at least top 5. I could see a whyte and ortiz at top 10. The 2000s? They dominate that era. The only person that could stop them is vlad or vitali. And even then I see both of them taking losses back and fourth with the 3 in the division. So 90s. They would be top guys and 2000s they could dominate.

I haven't seen any of them fight a well-built, professional, skilled boxer in their prime like those in the list yet. Therefore, the comparison. Perhaps the best out of the 3 would be Fury because he won't be hit much due to his speed and defence.

Both Wilder and AJ would have problems against a relentlessly attacking Tua with a great chin, stamina, and punching power. And Tua hardly made it to top 5 in that Era.

Why do you have Tyson & Evander above Lennox who beat both of them?

The top guys from today would compete and even some 9f the guys just outside the top

You can't take the top 10 fighters from the entire 90s and compare them to just the top 10 TODAY and call that a fair comparison.

Otherwise you have to include the top 10 from the whole 2010s and suddenly in comes Klitschkos and Haye and suddenly it's a lot closer isn't it?

But overall, I mean you put any of these guys in the ring together and a lot could happen.

Rahman and McCall chinned Lewis, bet Wilder has zero chance against him?

You wanna do the whole decade and send out Mike Tyson? Well here's Vitali Klitschko, I have a feeling he may be able to do something with Tyson

Rid**** bowel quit vs Goleta but AJ can't have any success vs him?

Evander I think would have a very frustrating night vs fury

Let's go down a level, you don't think Usyk has any chance to beat a Tua who lost to Chris Byrd

Dillian Whyte is a 20/1 underdog vs John Ruiz?

It's not as cut and dry as people think

Anthony Joshua is the only guy who would be a threat, and still champion.

Tyson Fury is incredibly physically weak for his size, and Wilder? Fair play he has power, but his boxing ability is underpar, plus his durability is not great.

There are more fighters who you have left off the list, Michael Moorer, Frank Bruno, Francis Botha. I think Bruno & Moorer would beat both Whyte & Ortiz.

Size/height might make them able to compete but, technique wise, today's heavies are trash. Maybe because they're bigger, but that wouldn't explain why guys like Vitali and Lewis were so much more talented. Also, for whatever reason, today's heavies are much less entertaining to watch.
