His corner stopped the fight, even though Gatti was asking for another round.

And even if Buddy allowed Gatti to continue, the way that doctor was all over that eye, he would of advised Earl Morton to stop it... or at least should of, if McGirt didn't do the right thing.

I watched that fight in a crowded bar so I didn't hear who it was. All I know is I saw Buddy McGirt holding Gatti's head. I always thought that Gatti had quit.

I think he should get into the hall of fame personally, not because of the competition he faced, but because he is what boxing is all about. Hes has great heart and that is something boxing lacks today. He is still the face of boxing IMO, not PBF, and i think he should always be remembered. What better way to be remembered then put into the hall?

I dont think thats why one gets put in the hall of fame in boxing. I think the fighter would have to be a great. Gatti clearly isnt.

gatti will be inducted for the simple reason that he is one of the most exciting fighters in the past 20 years. along with his heart, his fights, and his soon to be 3 division titles, yes he most certainly belongs in the HOF.

boxing is an entertainment sport, its an entertainment business, gatti is one of the most entertaining fighters, along with changing styles, tough competition, heart, spirit, being one of hbos largest grossing boxers, multiple titles, never ducking anyone... he definetly deserves hall of fame

                Hall of fame is overrated.

Based purely on accomplishments and level of opposition, he's not even close. However, he'll most likely be inducted since the boxing HOF is pretty horrible; they let anyone in.

Three division champ is almost a lock. If he wins saturday he will be just that. And its about more than accomplishments, its what he contributed to boxing. He has given us all out wars over the years. Im sure he will get in, even if he loses this week.
