Wilder barely survived a 50 year old Ortiz punching him. One punch from AJ and Wilder is finished, just like Wlad was once AJ touched him.

With AJ's chin, he's eventually going to fight someone who's going to put him down for good. The signs on his chin are all there, 41 year old Wlad put him down pretty hard. Someone else is going to get that victory because Wilder is playing the marinating game. Happens all the time and this is Heavyweight, where one punch can change everything, even when facing a journeyman who seemingly doesn't stand a chance.

There's also a chance that Wilder, having a really great chin but poor boxing skills, can get outboxed himself by someone who's technically better than him and can take his monstrous punches (or can avoid them).

I agree they should fight next but they will not.

I think the sides have decided they are going to do this in 2020. Wilder should fight him next because Wilder has been getting stunned by guys that IMO don't hit as hard as AJ even though he has KO wins. This is HWT boxing and each fight is dangerous.

I frankly don't care to see Wilder/Ortiz 2 or AJ/Whyte 2. I think both are a waste of time. The danger of facing Kowacki and Usyk is they could make Wilder and AJ look bad or even push both. The fight loses a little steam unless both dominate.

Eh. I mean I get it, but the reality is you can only control so much sh^t & in the boxing game you shouldn't bend just cuz someone else might lose.

I think at this point this fight happens regardless of loses. I think this fight happens like Tyson vs Holyfield was destined to happen & just because it didn't happen in 1990 as planed with both guys as undefeated monsters it did happen in 1996 after both had become more flawed & seen as less beatable then previously.

And it still is one of the biggest fights of all time & more importantly it was the biggest fight of all time twice with the first fight & the sequel.

Idk that we got 6 years to wait til Wilder vs Joshua, but it'll happen next or in 2020 or even later if things go waaaaaay south with both guys.

Wilder and Joshua's chins are about the same. Joshua's is more tested. Yes, he was down vs Klitschko but that straight right hand would flatten every HW, Wilder included. It was a monster punch.

Ortiz had Wilder on a ***** street and he doesn't hit nearly as hard as Klitschko. Not to mention the extra time to recover he got in the following round. Or the fact that Wilder has been down 2 times already in his career.
