Does Wilder prove the argument all the great American HW's went to other sports?

Again, I can tell you don't live in America.
That's counting suburban White kids, because there's more of them. White people are 70% of the population
America's greatest athletes are Black kids that come from the INNER CITY, that's where LeBron and guys like that are from.
See how high baseball is?
Baseball's been dying in Black communities for years, yet it's still high on the list, why?
Because White people still play it.
And Rugby players are not the best athletes on the planet.
They're a lot smaller and less athletic than America's football players, who are bigger, stronger, and faster.
Just stop while you're behind
Rugby players don't need all that protection, it much tougher sport with elite athletes.
If some American football player decided to play and take on a rugby team they would get beat easilyComment

Sport is a numbers game. Put 1,000 through the system and a percentage will survive. Put 1,000,000 through and you get more survivors. Put 100,000,000 in and watch what the very best can do! You'll find the best chins, the best athletes, the most intelligent.
Rugby is a great example. Imagine if Jonah Lomu had gone into boxing as a kid? A 6ft5, 265 pound guy with incredible bravery, speed, athleticism, and coordination. New Zealand and the Pacific islands are producing these specimens - but they go into rugby.
Do they have a chin? Don't know - but put a few thousand of them in the ring and we'll find a few that do.
Boxing isn't finding them - it's low participation and they're going into other sports.
Boxing is actually one of the few sports where these guys could almost be guaranteed a career. In other sports you have to predict kids reaching elite physical levels - in boxing you can simply go in a weight class.Comment

But they are not America's ELITE athletes, which is where this theory comes from.
95% of America's fastest, highest jumping, and most athletic athletes are African-Americans from urban areas.
There are a few White dudes who a great athletes in America, but there are no White LeBrons or Kevin Durants or ODell Beckham, Jrs.
NFL players are MUCH larger on average and wear pads because 300 lb men would literally be killing people every game.
The average NFL player is 50 lbs heavier than the average rugby playerComment

The idea that the reason that the American dominance over the Heavyweight division has dissipated the last 20 years is often argued and dismissed by others that all the talent now goes to the NFL and NBA.
If things had gone to plan for Deontay he would have been a pro-basketball player, but it didn't and instead he took up boxing relatively late in life and became the heavyweight champ.
If some of these others football and basketball players had instead followed Deyontay's path we'd probably see American fighters even better than Wilder.
And you'd be less dummy.Comment

LMAO they only run that much in a game.
They could never make it as a boxer.
Like I said boxing is a cardio sport.Comment

I'm certain you have never boxed before. If you had, you would realise how much it takes out of you.Comment

The 6ft6-6ft9 280 pound locks might be a chance though.Comment

A large percentage of the guys in the NFL were stars in track & field too.
Not the 400lb linemen, but definitely the DE's down to the CBs and definitely the receivers.
I can tell that you never played football because if you did you wouldn't argue that these guys have no "cardio"
You don't think they run all summer when they're training?
And even still, stop getting away from the original argument.
Rugby players from the UK don't have the best "cardio" in the world, Kenyan long distance runners and Olympic track & field athletes do, which would still not include them.
The reason people make the argument that Black NFL/NBA players would dominate the heavyweight division is because African-Americans make up a disproportionate number of elite athletes.
That is not the case with the UKComment
