But I do agree things could go south or just open up with Joshua & DAZN & allow this fight to be made with Showtime. And I suspect if they market it right it'd make both guys more money via PPV then DAZN would be paying either of them.

That said it'd be a PR nightmare for DA "PPV is Dead" ZN to lose one of their biggest names for a fight or two to Showtime to make a big PPV fight so DAZN should just open up their checkbooks now to avoid that bad look.

I suspect they gave DAZN some clue or direct info on what they were willing to accept.
If they accept a DAZN offer that fight will not be on Showtime. You do understand that right? Finkel said this fight HAS TO BE ON SHOWTIME.

Sorry, read your whole post, ofcourse you understand that.

        Good post.

Most mfers talking about this situation are working from a "this side is 100% right & the other side is 100% wrong" outlook with this sh^t & there take on the situation shows that clearly

If you aren't speaking on this from the viewpoint of how this could make sense for all sides & realizing their is leverage on all sides you are merely talking from your fanboy or hater viewpoint more often than not I'd be willing to bet.

Agreed. I speak from my opinion sometimes and I own it as such. Only the major players in these boxing circles really know what's going on ... and they usually ain't saying. They say whatever trying to ramp fans (us) up so when the fights happen, it's a bigger ching-ching.

Maybe some of these posters are a paid part of that.

You do understand how negotiations work right?

Or do you think when someone is trying to buy a used car that they go into negotiations with the car dealer by saying the absolute highest dollar amount they are willing to pay &/or that the dealer immediately states the lowest offer he'll accept? Would be easier to buy cars if thats legit how things work I'll give you that, but they don't work like that in reality is the thing.

So quit being silly by not understanding this most basic principle of negotiation.

In this example DAZN should be offering to pay as little as they can to maximize their own long term goals & Wilder should be asking for as much as he can to maximize his own long term goals. And the middle ground is where a deal gets done at & where both sides bend enough from where they are to make this fight happen.

Is this a legit thing? Cuz I've seen more people saying/hinting/joking this & its hard to argue the level of shilling with a fanboy or hater hasn't gone up drastically in recent times.

Like I've been saying with that Frankie2Jabs guy if DAZN isn't paying him they should be. And I'm seeing more takes like that then ever & by some surprising people doing it.

Randomly if someone from DAZN, ESPN+ or PBC wish to pay me for my opinions drop me a PM & we can discuss the particulars.

It didnt really feel like a negotiation to me. DAZN made a huge offer, There were no comebacks the team walked away, said a fight couldnt be made on DAZN as it had to be on Showtime and have lined up Wilders next few fights which does not involve Anthony Joshua. Nor have they come back with any counter offers even though they talking hundreds of millions.

Ive watched this sport long enough to understand negotiations and ive also watched this sport long enough to understand when somebody has walked away from negotiations and that is what i think i witnessed.

I think they would fight Fury before they fight Joshua.
