Donaire has taken punches from solid featherweights thats the reason he stands a chance because hes durable and punches just as hard if not harder I favor Inoue because of his youth but you can't write Nonito off he still has power and is bigger.Comment

Inoue sure is the favourite to win but to say Donaire shytting his pants is totally foolish. Nonito has been in the ring with killers like Walthers and fighters who can punch and are tough like Frampton,Rigo, Magdaleno, Juarez, Montiel, Darchinyan the list goes on. Does Inoue hit harder than Walthers or say Frampton? Doubt it. Nonito has a tough task to hand Inoue his first defeat but the fight would be competetive imo. If Donaire gets stopped, it would be from a body shot imo but what if Nonito lands a perfect left hook to Inoue’s chin?Comment

You are definitely underestimating Donaire. The guy is a HOF when he retires and still got some skills to make a competitive fight against Inoue and he is bigger and has power. Does Inoue hit harder than Walthers or even Frampton? How would Inoue’s chin hold up to a perfect left hook counter? The guy’s whiskers has not been tested yet.Last edited by tatot; 05-18-2019, 04:24 PM.Comment

Trouble was Inoue had the counters, shot placement and power to make the difference in a fire fight, and thats what happened. If Manny took the fight slower, skills vs skills, I don't think Manny would make it 12 that way either - I think his approach was the only way he could get a win, and he went for it. So credit to Manny for going for it - he just ran into a beast.Comment

The younger Donaire fought a bit like Inoue does now, stalk, then close out with precision and power. Sounds a bit odd given Inoue is ending his fights so quickly, but I think we haven't seen the best of Inoue yet.
I'll say it now, the older Donaire is tailor made for Inoue. Donaire will fight at a slower pace than Manny did tonite, and its one I think Inoue will be in his element in. Donaire will be working to create openings, as will Inoue, but age will be the difference as Inoue will strike faster and Donaire's reflexes will let him down, both in letting the shots go and avoiding incoming. A young Donaire vs today's Inoue would be a thing of beauty, old Donaire vs Inoue will be a passing of the baton.Comment
