I understand the point that you are making but Deontay Wilder added on muscle mass and not fat. That makes a huge difference. It means that he is more muscle toned and physically fit this time than in his two previous outings against Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury. He actually looks healthier and like his normal self.

You do know he fought one of the best power counter punchers in boxing with Ortiz right? Breazeale has to take ten punches to land one, slow feet/hands so can’t avoid those rights just bad matchup for him..... fury did crap that fight besides dance around ring landing 24% of his total punches while also getting dropped twice at least when Floyd danced around ring he landed 45% of total punches while also connecting over 50% of power shotsComment

Wilder can be beaten by a heavily pressing forward boring tank, similar to Ortiz in the 6th or 7th round of their fight or to Kownacki against Washington. Also can be beaten by a much better technician a'la Fury. Or by a man who can hit very hard in a good time such as Joshua or Klitshko. Breazeale is not able to qualify into these 3 categories.Comment

I personally think whatever fatigue you saw was more of him just being in highly competitive fights. But you could be right. I personally think he overtrained for both fights. Because it really doesn’t make sense for him to be dehydrated or anything like that because heavyweights don’t have to cut weight. But you never know. However, with him being heavier it should mean that there shall be more gas for him to burn. Do you agree? I say that because he looked very winded and dehydrated in both the Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury bouts; To the point that I was surprised that he had both the energy and the stamina to drop them both several times while putting one of them away.Comment

None of that is going to matter as long as he’s still got that right hand .That right hand is full of bed time stories and it’s just a matter which story Dominic gets.I understand the point that you are making but Deontay Wilder added on muscle mass and not fat. No doubt; You are absolutely correct. Deontay Wilder means all business this time. I wouldn't be surprised if he knocks Breazeale out in the first round.Comment

I don’t think weight has anything to do with punch resistance. Wilder is a small heavyweight. It’s is what it is. He’s gonna be outweighed by 30lbs+. I don’t think there’s a major difference between being outweighed by thirty or forty in terms of ability to handle a punch. It’s a huge size disadvantage that is unique to Wilder in terms of today’s fighters. We massage guys ballz for fighting guys ten pounds heavier nowadays.Comment

Re
...and he's still giving up 30 pounds to Breazeale.
In this era of the superheavyweight, he's lucky to have superheavyweight power.
To thrive in this division, you have to go at least 6'5" and 245.
At 6-7, Wilder has the height, the reach, but I have to believe that the weight is going catch up to him sooner or later.
Thing is, he has a basketball player's physique, and probably cant bulk up to the size of the superheavyweights.
He has that GIFT though, that equalizer
. The right hand.
