Not out of prime, but not at his best. He came up two weight classes drinking his own urine. Floyd didn't bother to make the catch weight and refused to be weighed the day of the fight. JMM wasn't the same chiseled version of himself that KO'd Pac later on.Comment

I can agree with some of that, but in the end of the day it's a fight. A fight is a fight.
Marquez was 143 when he blasted out 147 Pac.
He was 142 vs. 146 Floyd.
I certainly think he physically looked better vs. Pac, but that's how he chose to prepare himself. Know what I mean?Comment

Marquez dropped right back to 135 after the Floyd fight. He actually fought at 130 the year prior to the Floyd fight. It was too much too soon.I can agree with some of that, but in the end of the day it's a fight. A fight is a fight.

where is the reach? was he not 60 fights in and almost 30....lil fighters primes do not last as long as larger ones, they take more hits....actually watch the fights like i did and you know he wasnt prime.....wars take something out of fighters, use common senseComment

lol smh.. i will never forget that part lmao!!! hard to say marquez was prime or in the best shape of his life when he fought floyd for that simple fact only.Comment

in your case, no boxers is ever in his prime then! so when can a fighter be in his prime? at the age of 18? lmao! i guess spence, crawford, all them aint prime no more then. all over 30 or close to it like you mention barrera being 29 "almost 30" lol.Comment

in my case....dude a fighters prime is not the same for each fighter
spence and crawford have not had wars like bARRERA vs mckinney, jones 2 x, morales and other fights like he did and he is a smaller man
use common sense man
He had twice as many fights as them at the same age come on man
YDKSAB
for example Wilfred benitez was shot by his mid to late 20s...why? he was a pro as a teenager, a champ by 17 and 3 division champ by 22-23 and had over 50 fights by the end of it all....dude come on aint know reach you just dont know when i a fighters prime is and everyones prime is not the same ageLast edited by therealpugilist; 02-19-2020, 11:50 AM.Comment
