It has nothing to do with ratings. This is the problem with UK trolls trying to analyze the US landscape. OP is apparently unaware that every NFL, NBA, etc game runs over. College football games often run over an hour or more. Live sports almost always run over. Has nothing to do with PBC.
How Fox inflates their ratings

actually not so much now that 3:30 hour slots are given to football. Basketball doesn’t usually go over either except overtime in regular season. U get a bit more in playoffs with more timeouts at the end but here u are completely off is that when they go over football or basketball is 10-15 minutes except of it’s overtime. Pbc on fox routinely goes 1/2 hour to 1 hour and sometimes even more than that by putting more filler fights in between. I’ve added an hour to my dvr on multiple occasions and still missed a couple rounds.Big problem with your/Keith's theory . . .
Pretty much every football game goes an hour over the "scheduled" time. Pretty much every basketball game goes 30-40 minutes over the "scheduled" time.
Has nothing to do with ratings tricks and nothing to do with boxing. This is standard procedure for most live sports on pretty much every network in the US.
It’s not like this is new. It’s happened for a long time and they still do it so it’s intentional. Especially continuously adding swing bouts.
Plus isn’t this site owned by pbc? Wouldn’t that make Idec a pbc writer?Comment

why would they be fined? It’s a smart strategy to inflate their numbersComment

How much regular season do you watch? I watch 82 games a year and unless it's a blow out, the game never ever ends in time. College football games routinely go an hour over without over time.
TV windows for live sports are the absolute shortest the network anticipates the event going. The minimum length they're promising the affiliate that they'll be providing. It almost always goes over. Not unique to boxing. Not unique to PBC. This thread is really ******.Comment

actually it’s a greet thread. Espn card’s aren’t running 60-90 minutes over like fox and fs1 cards. Take your bias away. How much regular season do you watch? Nba games going over 10-15 minutes is one thing. Pbc card’s going over an hour is a completely different story.
You got jokes with your nfl theory. You are exposing yourself as a uk nuthugger with zero clue about nfl football.
Us diehard nfl fans know that nfl afternoon games start at 1:05 pst if there isn’t a previous game on that channel and start to 1:25 pst if it’s the 2nd game of a doubleheader.
We also know that there is block for the nfl till 430pm. We also know that the Sunday night game starts at 5:15 and their is NEVER any overlap. In fact excluding overtime we know an nfl game doesn’t usually even go 10 minutes over it’s time slot.
We are exposing you UK trolls.
You try to compare the pbc going over their time slot by 45-90 minutes to the NFL going over by 7 minutes.
You are exposed son.
How long does a game last?
The game itself lasts an hour, split into four 15-minute quarters.
However, this only tells half the story, with the average game taking 3 hours and 12 minutes to complete.

Sunk your own battleship.
There's no 10 o'clock news on FS1.
What ratings benefit is there to an FS1 card going an hour over the listed slot? There isn't any. This has nothing to do with ratings. The name of your thread is, "How Fox inflates their ratings." Your thread is moronic.Comment
