You lose in your quest to be IBF champion then you win a fight and now you can fight to become unified Champion. Losing is that bad these days

Canelo should drop the belt. let GGG and Derev fight for it. meanwhie he goes for the Andrade-Sulecki winner for the WBO. and then faces the winner of GGG and Derev for the undisputed crown.

OR Canelo can drop it and move up to 168 to challenge Callum Smith for the real WBA strap.

pretty much Canelo can do wtf he pleases. no abc group dictates to him. A side bidness.

Like the IBF is going to dictate anything to Canelo.
WBC tried that and they were begging him to fight for their title once those sanctioning fees stopped coming in.
Haymon just trying to hold another belt hostage on PBC.
Canelo can fight Andrade in September. Unification trumps mando’s then he can light that insignificant IBF belt on fire.

I wouldn't blame Canelo if he passed on this fight, but as always, it'd be interesting to see his groupies defend it when they're still accusing ggg of ducking dervey.

Drop the belt and keep it moving. No need to fight a guy that lost to the guy you just beat.

                  the choice is clearly obvious

it is the exact same choice that Golovkin had

Golovkin had to fight Saunders, rather than Vanes..... to avoid being stripped by the IBF

                  Canelo must fight Andrade

I bet Canelo makes a MUCH better decision than Chickenkin did

Khan will quit right before the british national anthem.

If you have a belt you have to defend it, comes with a territory or get stripped, just like how they did it to GGG.

But the IBF belt just mandated Jacobs vs Dervy back in like Novemeber. Why another mandatory owed so soon to the same damn fighter who lost to Jacobs? Canelo looking for much better opponents then Dervy and trying to unify all the belts which would be epic for the sport of boxing. But no dumb azzz IBF trying to force either a pointless fight that delays/prevents full unification of the belts or forces Canelo throw your belt in the trash ending 1 champ unifying all the belts.

This is prime example why all these belt orgs are so shady and corrupt. IBF ain't acting in the best interest of the sport and were likely paid off by Dervy's own promoter Lou Dibella for this garbage.

                      great point

the IBF would have the right idea, if they had decent rankings

they stripped Fury about 8 days after his win over Klitschko, which was insane..... now they are ordering Canelo to fight a guy who just lost to the guy who Canelo just beat
