It's amazing! All this talk about "Don't be a weight bully," "Fight someone your own size," "1 loss doesn't kill your career," and look at all this hate Mikey is getting! Fake azz boxing fans are incredible! The man wants to be a WW Champion! What's wrong with that? He's won @ 126, 130, 135, and 140! He loses one fight @ 147, and now y'all turn on him? RIDICULOUS!

I for one am not turning on him,but I have disowned him as among my favorites or as p4p. I was one of the ppl defending him,but I cannot support when a fighter chooses another ppv 💰 grab after already getting his ass beat from pillar to post his last fight which was a 💰 grab. Its one thing for a fighter to dare to be great its another for them to behave as if their dumber than a bag of sand. Mikey is now acting like hes ****** as they come, anyone who saw the spence fight can CLEARLY deduce that mikey will never be a ww champ nor will he even beat dsg(I know I'll be proven right once hes kod(& I'm who told everyone on here Spence would win by UD but not by ko)

Mikey throws nowhere near enough punches & nowhere near hits hard enough 4 ww. It reminds me of a far worse chacalatito when he moved up to superfly ,but he was much better suited to move up than mikey & had already competed near the weight. I wouldn't hesitate to support mikey if he was trying to become unified at 140 or below & his legacy would be much more enhanced if he actually started sticking with 1 division & unifying (just look at nelo),hed go down far more as a legend by facing 140 & below than he will by somehow lucking into a vacant title or 1 off a c level vacant champ at ww.

So why should anyone support a fighter when they're wasting their prime yrs & all the goodwill they've earned by chasing money & being ******?

Mikey deserves ridicule 4 being so greedy after already exploiting his countryman his last fight.

I think this is a competitive matchup, one in which DSG should be slightly favored. I don't see a KO though, and the winner will be the guy who comes out determined to be busier.

I think Lipinets is much better than people think, and Mikey looked powerful enough! Of course DSG is on a different level, but he's not so good that Mikey couldn't get a UD! Hererra? I say it's 60/40 DSG, but I think it's worth it! This is "prize fighting," and the belt is not the prize! And if he wins...OMG! $$$$$

Yeah, all of that is fair. I feel the same. I was bothered by Mikey's lack of desire and effort to actually win the Spence fight, and by his relative indifference to losing. Based on the Spence fight, Mikey doesn't seem to have the mental attitude nor the physical tools to compete with the WW elite. Not sure if he can prove people wrong against DSG. It's less of a physical mismatch, but a motivated DSG is a tall order for anyone, especially a 5'6" guy with avg speed and power who comes straight forward.

Not a PPV fight at all, no title, just a chance to fight a champion down the road, you need two legit legends to stage a PPV card without a title at stake.

This is a free television fight, to ask us for 70 bucks is outrageous, PBC is killing the PPV market, they better not price themselves out of it or the gravy train will end quickly.

I think FOX got a taste with Garcia/Spence, and wants to cash in any chance they can, it's not boxing people making these decisions.

Maybe it will bring in a crowd & generate $

Neither of these guys are elite at 147 weird one to put on ppv I guess they’re trying to sell the Garcia Rican vs Mexican thing but it’s gonna flop.

DSG is right there with porter, One Time & possibly Errol who are the top of the division.
