Anyone know if Showtime will be picking up the Liakavich-Mcbride bout on Aug.5? This heavyweight "championship" fight hasn't received any press.
lol at Showtime being 'America's boxing Network'

Showtime already has two fights for that night. HBO's booked too. Is this fight even official?Originally posted by BostonGuyAnyone know if Showtime will be picking up the Liakavich-Mcbride bout on Aug.5? This heavyweight "championship" fight hasn't received any press.Comment

This fight has been in the works for months and is listed on boxrec.com. I'm not sure if it's offical yet, though.Originally posted by neils7147933Showtime already has two fights for that night. HBO's booked too. Is this fight even official?Comment

Showtime has some shows I really liked ...Weeds and Splinter Cell, and pretty good boxing. HBO has the greatest fighters, but...why does the hbo fighter always get the funny gift decision, hatton, taylor, etc..Comment

People who only watch HBO Boxing are missing a lot

i would assume it'd be televised, wouldn't be surprised if they move the date around so it can be broadcasted on tv, my guess, if anything, would be on showtimeOriginally posted by BostonGuyAnyone know if Showtime will be picking up the Liakavich-Mcbride bout on Aug.5? did you forget about Mormeck-Bell? that fight was INSANE and also brought to you by ShowtimeOriginally posted by neils7147933Name some of HBO's TV fights that you believe are so high quality.
For my money, the top 3 fights of the year so far are Lyakhovich vs. Brewster, Cintron vs. Estrada, and Cotto vs. Malignaggi - none of which have been on the HBO network.
Barrera/Juarez, Hatton/Collazo, and Wright/Taylor were all ultimately underwhelming, and Tarver/Hopkins II and DLH/Mayorga on PPV were total mismatches - something HBO is good at scheduling...
Shobox > BAD as well...
And apparently HBO knows it - that's why ShoBox alums Cintron, Sechew Powell, Paul Williams, Juan Diaz, Rocky Juarez, Mike Arnaoutis, Ricky Hatton and many more are scheduled or have been scheduled for HBO datesComment
