Why would Fury prefer to fight for "diamond" over "interim" belt? There must be something behind it?

If he's interim champion, it's 65/35 split in Wilder's favor, maybe 60/40 if Fury's lucky.

If Fury is diamond champion, he can demand 50/50. That's why he wants the diamond belt and not the interim championship.

I am with Fury here. Wilder should fight Whyte or Fury ( again) than to prove he is real WBC champ.
I do not mind because I could care less about belts, only interesting fights. Fury/Whyte, winner gets Wilder is interesting. I prefer Wilder/Joshua, winner hosts Fury/Whyte winner at a venue of the unified champs choice, but wishes ain't horses and that dream won't ride, so this is fun alternative.

The problem with the WBA super championship is that it's above the WBA world championship. It's very confusing for fans as being world champion should be the highest possible honor.

The WBC has been very careful to protect the honor of being WBC world champion. The diamond belt is something totally separate, not a world title, and not above the WBC world title. It's a mechanism the WBC uses to try to force unification and force big fights.

I believe you're mistaken Mr. Run. Fury wants the diamond belt because it entitles him to a bigger split vs Wilder than the interim title does.

Why is fat Fury ducking Whyte? Fat Fury must be scared of Whyte knocking him out again.

It's very simple. A diamond champion can request 50/50 against the world champion. An interim champion usually gets 35-40% against the world champion.

This is a wide UD for Fury.

But boy, Dillian Whyte just doesn't give a f*** who is put in front of him.

Take my hat off to you DW but I fear this would be a frustrating night and an L for you buddy. It'll feel like you're being slapped by feathers whilst you chase shadows all night.

Wouldn't be a hard fight for Fury at all. There are levels to this and Whyte is definitely below Fury

Obviously fury would be heavy favourite to win but whytes left hook sends guys sqiffy

Easy to say fury walks it etc but it’s stil a good scrap and the build up will be fun . Why not ? I’m in
