I don't really know the UK scene, but I doubt that Sky Sports will let their airwaves be used as the emergency backup in case DAZN doesn't jump the way Eddie expects it to jump.
Sky Sports is still the biggest platform for the sport, and top talent will want to fight on said platform, with or without Eddie Hearn.
Sky could give Eddie the boot, and become an open shop for a bit; the 2020 and 2024 Olympic cycles happen, with the top UK talent no longer defaulting to Eddie Hearn without Sky Sports.
Sky Sports was in boxing before Eddie Hearn and, as long as there are good British fighters to show Brits, will be in boxing long after Eddie Hearn.
