If you want to believe that Pac beating Thurman makes him the FOTD, feel free! I you think Floyd "ducked" Thurman, that's your choice! Floyd didn't duck Oscar! Floyd didn't duck Cotto! All the highlighted names won their fights! Out of those who won their fights, Thurman had the worst performance! Spence, after totally dominating Mikey Garcia in front of 47K, said he would be honored to fight Pacquiao! Manny waited, and decided NOT to fight Spence, but chose (Manny is the A-side) Keith Thurman! Had he chosen Mikey Garcia, after Mikey did not win one single round vs. Spence, he would've been humiliated! Now, call it coincidence, or call it whatever you want, but Mr. Gibbons is incorrect! Everyone knows this to be true no matter what they claim. No doubt there'll be some Pac fans along soon crying about his age and him having the right to fight who he wants. Fair enough, but lets not pretend this fight is something it isn't. Pacquiao didn't pick the best, he picked who looked the weakest of the title holders.

a fighter is not judge on just one fight but his career and Thurman is one of the best regardless...Look at Julian Williams if you judge him base on the fight that he got knocked out, then that's is unfair given that he outclass a champ in Hurd. never ever judge a fighter with just one fight. Casuals do that.

No, I didn't imply anything, however I totally disagree with Mr. Gibbons' statement, that Manny chose "The Best Available!" Obviously, you agree with Mr. Gibbons, and I don't, and neither does anyone who is ranking the WW division! If you find any credible ranking organization that has Keith Thurman currently ranked above Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford at 147, I render my most sincere apologies! If not, then GTFOH!
