Lol. “Stipulation.” “Belt(s).” Nobody in industry talks those things because before advanced drug testing was the dark age in boxing, 1970’s-2010.

Once a guys superior resume is ignored just so a fan can make room for their hero, what's the point ?!?!?!?!

Rhetorical question. I wouldn't want you to waste your time.
              ******ation huh?

Tell you what, why don't we imagine a hypothetical scenario in which two top fighters have each fought the same #3 and #4 in the division? Difference is fighter A has also fought the #5 and #6 whilst fighter B has only fought other guys in the top 10 - 15. Fighter 'A' barely sc****s past all his opponents by disputed SD, whilst fighter 'B' dominates or KOs common opponents (and all his other opponents) out of the water.

With the scalps of the divisional #3, #4, #5 and #6 fighter 'A' clearly has the better resume... you still gonna make that the argument resume is the ONLY deciding factor in how we should all rate fighters?

You do it your way, man, but how about you recognise that other people have their own perfectly legitimate ways of figuring these things 'stead of calling folk silly names?

So if other fighters get away with crap it's OK for everyone to get away with crap.

A name on a resume is only a name nothing else. The name is only significant if it represents a credible challenge at the time of the fight. Rocky Marciano has Joe Louis on his resume. Not the Joe Louis that was in his prime. It's a nice win but not earth shaking. Cotto beat Martinez. Martinez was damaged goods.
                      Tyson beat Micheal Spinks.
                      Etc. etc....
Rating fighters primarily by their resume is not an accurate way of rating fighters. P4P lists are subjective enough without adding poor logic to the mix.
