Yes guys you heard right, Hurd in fight week was losing over 5 pounds a day...LOL. What'd they do, just drain a couple of pounds of blood a day? "Don't worry Hurd all this blood we're draining, see after the weigh in we're just gunna pump it all back into ya."

So JRock made weight the second time around? Good. This is going to be a hell of a fight. From the Charlo's, Hurd, and JRock, it was JRock who was getting the most hype coming out. He was supposed to be THE guy at the division and some were saying a future big fight would be Spence vs JRock.

Well, those guys have passed JRock up but he has a chance to change things with a win here. Can't wait!
I never heard anything about JRock at all until he and his trainer talked him into the Charlo fight lol. Must have been a looooong time ago that anyone had him over Hurd or especially the Charlos. They have been hyped up for 5 years or so.

Maybe they cut Hurds' left leg off and then replaced it later on.
        Anyways, I too like Hurd.
He's underestimated cuz' the man can box and he kinda exhausts his opponents.

During that time it was seen as Charlo is scared of JRock and that JRock was going to win. Majority of the hardcore fans were riding with JRock in that fight.

Hurd wasn't hyped at all since he was a very pedestrian amateur. Got a nice win on SHO Box, dominated Molina on CBS and solidified himself after the Harrison fight.

He revealed, DURING FIGHT WEEK, that he had to cut 36 pounds to make weight during camp. He did not lose 36 lbs in a week

J-Rock needs to stay out of the exchanges as much as possible and just box. I know the temptation would be there to trade because Hurd is not that hard to find but at the same time it could also be his own undoing. Hurd is not only bigger but he is also the more durable guy who only gets stronger the longer the fight goes.

Honestly my interpretation of the JRock-Charlo build up was 'who is this guy?', similar to when Jermell fought Charles Hatley and all of a sudden people were hyping up Hatley who I had never heard of.

My take was that because JRock's trainer was a writer for this website that he talked his way into the right, and then talked his guy up as being the favorite. Seemed like imo people were maybe hoping that JRock could upset Charlo since the Charlos were talking a lot of trash at that point.

I'm sure some people follow the lower level guys at certain weights a little closer than me but that is the first I heard of JRock being more highly touted than the Charlos. From what I have seen he doesn't really have the goods and I expect a fairly dominant Hurd KO but we will see. I have been wrong before.

That would make a lot more sense.
