Can you put forward any remotely viable alternative for who the proposed alternative would have been?

Because if not we’re getting into the realms of the bizarre here where common sense seems to be flying out of the window

Let’s take the ratios against previously disclosed purses out of the equation then.

Is $7m for a shot at 3 titles for Ortiz at late notice a low-ball offer in your opinion?

No, its not. Me--someone who likes watching Ortiz fight-- was pissed he didnt take it, however think its most likely he couldnt pass a test in time.

IF Miller's purse of 6.5 was legit, then Hearn's initial offer of 6 was definitely a low ball for Ortiz. But, you ALWAYS open with a low ball. So that's not a slight on Hearn, he was just doing his job.

Ortiz's request of 10 was too high, but you ALWAYS ask for too much. So again, his people just doing their job.

So what was the fair figure? Ortiz is far more well known than Miller, and was being asked to take the fight on short notice. For short notice, you have to over pay. You figure $1 million more for being more well known and $1 million more for short notice and you're looking at 8.5. A figure I believe Ortiz's team would have accepted. And it's not too much more than half way between Hearn's opening of 6 and Ortiz's demand of 10.

I don't consider 7 an insulting offer, but definitely a little low, and clearly Haymon believes he can meet or exceed that amount. Ortiz has been promised he'll make at least 7 for the Wilder rematch.

Then why not take the money and increase his bank account? He never wanted to fight Joshua anyway! And if he really wants AJ fight why not demand that DAZN explicitly commit herself to make Joshua fight as part of the contract? Meanwhile one of the reasons for rejecting the offer was that the amount Joshua will make is not disclosed. Deontay is not serious about fighting Joshua if he ever was.

Wilder's handlers would be fools.... to make that fight without a split

Joshua's fanboys would be fools.... if they blindly believe the guy who offered Wilder 12m just a few months ago

if they are happy to pay Wilder 50m..... then Hearn is either the worlds biggest fool for not signing Wilder when they had him on the hook for 15m just A FEW MONTHS AGO..... or he is still playing the same games..... keeping his boy upright and safe, while milking the Joshua-cow's idiot fans dry

Deontay Wilder plans on fighting Luis Ortiz in November or December of this year; If he's successful in his title defense against Dominic Breazeale. Then from there, he plans on challenging Adam Kownacki in the following Spring of 2020 next year. So it's just like Shelley Finkel said; Deontay Wilder's plate is full.

He didn't want to sell himself to Dazn and lose control of his career and stab his current team in the back.

                      It's pretty simple.
