The difference between Mikey jumping up 2 divisions and Spence jumping 2 divisions is Mikey had no big money options. I don't count Lomo as an option because of arum. Spence has numerous paydays at ww in pac, d garcia, thruman, and Crawford. It makes no business sense to fight Canelo next with the options he currently has. He'll make more money with his current ww options overall than he would with 1 Canelo fight. ODLH is just salty about Spencer's comments regarding GBP promoting or lack there of promoting black fighters. Canelo should fight his mando - Charlo. Or Andrade next.

Spence Jr is in a dream position in the sport of boxing! He has multiple BIG MONEY Options so he doesn't have to rush and jump up and take this fight now he can take his time and grow into a middle weight properly then do it
Until then he has to take care of Shawn Porrter which won't be easy. If he gets pass Porter, then the Winner of Pacquiao vs Thurman and then of course the ultimate Showdown with Crawford for all the Belts is clearly the plan
Also don't overlook a run at 154 for Spence Jr, a fight with Brian Carlos Castano who beat him in the Amateurs and also a showdown with Jarrett Hurd especially if Hurd beats J Rock on Saturday then beat the winner of Tony Harrison vs Jermell Charlo II. Spence Jr vs Hurd is ANOTHER potential big fight!
Canelo vs Spence Jr is boxing's next Mega Fight though for sure...would pack in 80-100K a Cowboys Stadium easy BUT realistically that won't happen until 2021 probablyComment

SPENCE is 147 and is in the most exciting class in boxing. THURMAN,CRAWFORD, PORTER,D GARCIA,PAC just to name a few. He doesn't need to move up.

Yep, meant motto. It’s just your opinion though about that fight not having significance. I think most would like to see him clean out the division especially since many still say he’s unproven. If you’re advocating for Errol to fight Canelo right now then chances are you don’t like him.Comment

Mikey moved up two weight classes against the advise of his brother and got his ass beat. If Spence is smart, he will recognize that moving up two classes to fight Canelo is equally inadvisable.Comment

Canelo is a 14yr pro who is already suffering wear and tear and has a weak gas tank. He hasn't beaten anyone as good as Spence is now because every fighter close to it his victories have been highly debatable under fish circumstances. ggg didn't have the work rate and dealt with pressure by backing up and has a worse defense. Jacobs fought terribly and still could have come away with a draw. Spences stays in the cut, and blocks off shots. When he grows into 160 (seeing as Canelo was able to make up a weightclass so he wouldn't have to at a disadvantage that shouldn't be an issue) he dominate Canelo. If not then, maybe they should meet at old Canelo weight of 155Canelo has ALREADY beaten fighters who have a better stick then Spence lol Now who has Spence faced that is as slick and difficult to hit as Canelo? Or who hits as hard as Canelo? Or who is as crafty and intelligent in the ring as Canelo? I'll wait......
Canelo outboxes and outsmarts Spence or if Spence takes risks he leaves in a stretcher from those counters and traps he sets. Canelo has faster hands, slicker, better defense, more power, higher ring IQ...and oh yeah he's younger then Spence. Folks forget that because Spence ain't fought nobody while Canelo been putting work.Comment
