big time. Now he's locked in with Hearn but once campbell loses it will be a long time before he gets a title shot. With all the belts Loma will have so many mandatories owed for the other belts while also unification fights he is going to make that will delay mandatories even more. Haney is phuked he is a big kid already by the time his mandatory comes up he will be too big for 135. Might have to just move up now and try and grab his first title shot at 140. he needs to pray for a massive upset to free up a belt at 135

Think about Abdullaev. He is ranked #2 and should be fighting for the vacant tile. Instead he has to win 2 fights in order to get a mando title shot that he should be getting next.

      That seems completely unfair.

Will DAZN and ESPN go to Purse bid war with this one?!

Imagine DAZN swerving a Loma appearance on their platform?!
The fight will be in the UK anyway, so I doubt to get it on DAZN will be an absolute priority for Hearn. They will negotiate something.

And what Abdullaev has done to get there? His #2 position is unfair.

Campbell will box circles around Loma and knock him clean out.

Ole Bob Arum with Chess Move...I like it actually!

I hope this happens more often! Sucks for Devin Haney but hey if you want a Belt you're going to have to beat the VERY BEST in the Division and not Luke Campbell

What is unfair about the best lightweight in the world being ordered to fight for the vacant WBC Lightweight Title?

No, since the fight will be in the UK, it will just be Sky PPV and then airing on ESPN+ stateside. I mean DAZN doesn't like paying big bucks supposedly for fights not being in prime time. All parties end up being satisfied.

Because it almost never happens. I think a more fair option would of been WBC let their 2 top contenders fight for the vacant belt and then mandate the winner to fight Loma immediately after (because his status as the best lightweight in the world should mean something). Everybody wins you force Campbell or Haney to fight Loma next. Because going this route we all know Loma is never going to fight Abdullaev, Haney or whoever the WBC grants as mandatory for a long time. Now the next top contender after Campbell is stuck waiting 1-2 maybe even longer before they get their title shot. Does seem a little unfair.

Abdullaev... . You mean the guy that none of us knew existed until Mikey vacated his belt and we looked at the WBC's rankings? Yeah, he really deserves to fight for a title. He's earned it. Just like Isa Chaniev earned that vacant IBF title shot vs. Commey. /s
