I never believed this dude would win and his pre-fight interviews and demeanor said just that. I still watch his fight against Golovkin to this day because he actually tried to put forth an effort, but his performance against Canelo was poo-poo.

Again, I'm glad I didn't cough up $80 for this and I won't if Jacobs' name is ever in the mix again the main event. Leave the big stage to the guys who'll perform, not the ones with the built-in excuses who just want big paydays.

It's unfair to the fans when a guy begs for a big payday and packs it in as soon the opening bell rings. To add insult to injury, he continued to gaslight us with the whole, "I feel I did enough to pull it off" jibber jabber. Eff this dude!
I swear this was on DAZN. And i don't think they charge that much.

I think the result will be similar if not more decisive at 168 if they were to repeat

Jacobs looks like someone who is looking to cash out and get out of the game

I like Hearn but seems like he probably wants Jacobs out of the way at 160 so DAZN can possibly get 2 more GGG-Canelo fights, and also probably an Andrade-Canelo and Andrade-GGG fight. I think the main reason for getting him out of the way at 160 is to make the GGG-Canelo fight(s) easier and more logical to make. That's what DAZN wants and that's where the big money is.

Jacobs-GGG 2 would be a good sell, as would Jacobs-Andrade or Jacobs-Charlo, so I think the fights are there for him at 160. But maybe they have a plan for him at 168. His jab was awful against Canelo and I don't know what all Danny has left at this point anyway, he looks a little shot to me post GGG.

But I would be interested to see him at 168 in one or two fights as well - just to see what he has there. I doubt he faces a top guy at 168 in his first couple fights though, unless he is in cash-out mode.

Jacobs can't even throw straight punches leading or off the jab consistantly. He is an ok fighter that needs an opponent to stand right in front of him with no head movement to look good.

            I like Jacobs, personally speaking.

But let's be honest, he has been mostly thriving on his win against cancer and the knockout of Peter Quillin.

I should've worded it better. I've had DAZN since last year, but I'm just saying I'm glad this wasn't on PPV.

Watching Khan quit against Crawford a couple of weeks ago, then Easter/Barthelemy stinking up the joint last weekend, and Danny not doing a damn thing against Canelo really hit where it hurts.

All I'm saying is, I'm just glad they didn't charge for Canelo/Jacobs...I'm not sure I couldn't taken that one lightly.

Exactly! A huuuuuge slap in the face to boxing fans on Jacobs' part.

I doubt he was weakened because he never even tried to make 170 and came in at 173.6 or damn near 4 pounds over. He has not looked as good since GGG beat him and not bean a monster but just a good fighter. I thought Canelo beat him 9 rounds to 3. He only won a few rounds on activity and punch volume when Canelo gassed out and was too tired to fight back much. When Canelo was fresh he handled him easily and often made Jacobs look foolish. I doubt he becomes a monster if he goes to 168. Callum Smith beats him easily in my opinion.
