Didn’t cherry picking bum Wilder call out Wlad after he cheated Fury to a draw? infact, he called out the retired ex-champ after he turned down 120m to fight the current boogeyman and king of heavy weight division in person of Anthony Joshua...Wilder is the queen of all duckers, Fury is the king while Ortiz is ... well Ortiz an old man.

The times of K being champ were much better than today. He faced every top unbeaten contender (Chacaev, Peter, Ibragimov, Wach, Povetkin, Pulev Jennings). No ducking, no time wasted. At least 2 fights per year against the top ones.

Very different now. Today it's more like the Don King era, where the 'champ' was kept safe from the best contenders to remain unbeaten.

The most boring era ever. Klitschkos were victorious but boring and opponents had no chance to beat them.

Now it is much better. At least we can hope that big 3 fight each other.

That's the issue. K was the undisputed champ and he wasn't guided by just money and managers. He knew he was best and he didn't avoid fighting ppl.

Now we have three good (but very different) fighters who fight bums.

We have other (seemingly) decent fighters who get avoided by those three.

The only good fight happening in 2019 at hw is Whyte vs Rivas.

No they don`t fight bums. they are just better than this guys.

Klitschko`s fights were boring and he had no trouble beating guys. Were his opponents bums because of that? You have double standards.

So when Klitschko fights Povetkin, it is a good fight, when Joshua fights Povetkin, Povetkin becomes a bum?

Well. Yes, povetkin was 34 vs 39. Big difference. Povetkin in 2013 was better than Parker today, imo. And Parker is the best boxer faced by AJ (with a different referee the outcome of that fight could have been different) followed by povetkin-2018 and whyte. All the others are low profile.

Same goes for Wilder (Ortiz, Fury) and to some extent to Fury (who, apart for K and Wilder himself didn't face other great boxers).

Why don't they face Kownaki? He and Hrgovich, Joyce, Rivas are equivalent today to boxers faced by Klitschko back then.

              Not Ruiz, Breazeale or Schwarz.

Enjoy your retirement champ. You have nothing left to prove.

In 2013, Vitali was spooked by a young knockout artist who was quickly climbing the WBC rankings. The man who struck fear into Vitali's heart was none other than Deontay the Bronze Bomber Wilder. With a record of 30-0 with 30 knockouts, Wilder destroyed former champ Liakhovich in the very first round.

This shocked Vitali and caused him to doubt whether he should continue defending his title. He decided to leave the sport, knowing his next defense could end in disaster. Deontay earned a mandatory shot at the title by putting Malik Scott to sleep, also in the first round. Vitali breathed a sigh of relief knowing that he'd left the sport at the right time, just as Lennox Lewis had advised him.
