In 2013, Vitali was spooked by a young knockout artist who was quickly climbing the WBC rankings. The man who struck fear into Vitali's heart was none other than Deontay the Bronze Bomber Wilder. With a record of 30-0 with 30 knockouts, Wilder destroyed former champ Liakhovich in the very first round.

This shocked Vitali and caused him to doubt whether he should continue defending his title. He decided to leave the sport, knowing his next defense could end in disaster. Deontay earned a mandatory shot at the title by putting Malik Scott to sleep, also in the first round. Vitali breathed a sigh of relief knowing that he'd left the sport at the right time, just as Lennox Lewis had advised him.

Hey, that's awesome. It has very little to do with...well, no, it has absolutely zero to do with my comment, but that doesn't negate the fact that you, your comment, and the very likely many, many things I'm forgetting to mention at this moment, are awesome.
To bad we didn't get to see that fight...whatever the real cause is.
