The pre fight talk, part of the promotion is irrelevant. Lalonde had no wins of note below lightheavy, in this fight he was a full division below that weight on the day of the fight. Leonard was coming off hes biggest win at middleweight. Lalonde stated fairly well, flooring Leonard but was dead at the weight. Leonard had a few more successful appearances at supermiddle, Lalonde never did. Bad example of a man fighting a larger opponent, since Leonard wasnt in there against a man who was at hes optimal fighting weight. And that was the point of the catch weight in the first place.Yes,he took it for the money. Still a bad example.
GGG bigger than Nelo, Nelo wants 175, how was GGG “smaller for Ward?”

If you can get GGG in a time machine five years from now and make him 28 years old when Ward is 38 years old, like Kovalev will probably be before Canelo fights, then I'm sure GGG would take that fight, even at 175.
And prime GGG would have anyway. They just wanted to fight Canelo first because the money was much greater, but Canelo waited for GGG to get old and by that time Ward was retired. Canelo is who killed GGG-Ward, not GGG. Canelo's ducking delayed and prevented many great fights we could have seen involving GGG and the guys at 160, 168, maybe even 175 like they were talking about initially.Comment
