I don't blame Canelo on this occasion, Jacobs looked bloody huge compared to him (and he ignored the limit anyway). Canelo beat Jacobs fair and square.

Canelo made fights @150 to suit himself. He complained about the 152. He said weight was a sticking point against GGG at first. Jacobs had to make weight just like Canelo did as per the actual rules. If Jacobs can put on more weight how is that unfair? If Canelo hits harder can Jacobs demand pillow gloves or head gear? Canelo never gets on the scale period. Even had a nda on second weighin. He won clean and weight is overrated imo. But lame he imposed his own rules and won’t even get on a scale fight night.

Canelo didn't have to be inside of 170. He could come in at any weight. It was Jacobs he restricted. The IBF rule did not apply to this unification.

The IBF rule is still in effect but not in unification fights. They leave that to the discretion of the fighters? Notice Canelo came in under 170 when he could of been heavier. Jacobs just mad because he know skills alone won't beat Canelo. He wanted to be much bigger as well.
