Compubox doesn't really mean anything anymore. But it's even further confirmation of Canelo's clear dominance in the fight. Canelo just landed the better shots and a lot more of them in at least 8 if not 9 of the rounds.

Jacobs needs to dare to be great and take risks. Jacobs seems to just want to fight his fight and cry about the judging like an entitled brat.

Jacobs definitely missed a lot...was impressed at times with Canelo's D, he was looking like Floyd in there lol.

But maybe some of those missed punches were from that lazy jab Danny was floating out there too. Just didn't really see that big of a disparity in landed, or more appropriately thrown, punches as what is shown here.

Interestingly Danny landed 40 more punches on GGG, and GGG 50 more on Danny, than the numbers in this fight when they fought. That one felt a bit more action packed and I guess it was. Canelo's D was great at times though, I enjoyed watching that from him.

Canelo did a very beauty job.

Yeah, it was close, but it was a very good performance against a great rival

Canelo outlands his opponents in power punches in more rounds. That’s how he wins fights. He lands more telling blows than his opponent round by round. It’s that simple.

8 of 12 rounds he outlanded Jacobs in power punches.

Only two top fighters he didn’t outland in power punches. Trout, who outlanded Canelo in 6 rounds, making it an even 6-6. And Mayweather, who outlanded Canelo in power punches in 10 of 12 rounds.

              Cotto was outlanded rbr.
GGG was outlanded in both fights, rbr.
Lara was outlanded in 10 of 12 rounds.

There's no controversy with this fight, it was a fair decision. Even the compubox numbers back up what everyone saw, Canelo landing the harder, cleaner punches in most rounds and Jacobs throwing weak jabs and smothering his own work when going for combos.
No doubt Jacobs put up a good fight, but I can't see how anyone can call this a robbery, in fact the cards were so close you could say they were being generous to Jacobs. Even his corner knew he was behind telling him to leave it all in the ring, the 12th was lacklustre tbh, he should have gone for broke and tried for the KO.

Yup and in the trout fight the difference was him dropping trout also it being open scoring trout quit the final 1/3 of the fight when he knew the scores and had just got dropped. Refused to take any risks knew he was down in the scores and gave up. Both he and Canelo knew the judges scores. Turned into a sparring session with trout accepting defeat and Canelo taking his foot off the gas knowing he had the fight won. If not for open scoring trout is hit with more power shots and likely dropped again or knocked out that fight.

Floyd is the only one to round by round Outland Canelo in power punches and it's the ONLY fight he lost and should of lost
