As far as inside the ring...... He's not very smart at all either. Why is he obsessed with switching southpaw when he isn't very good at it? Why is he unaware of the moment? He shows flashes and then he disappears. He fights like he's a high IQ fighter but he's not.

I know there are things he does against other fighters he couldn't do against GGG & Canelo. But in both fights it seems like he was content doing just enough to keep it close.

I thought the judges overcompensated due to the scrutiny they've received about Canelo scorecards. The fight wasn't as close as the scorecards indicated.
That’s the best and most accurate description of Jacobs.

I agree with your last paragraph.

Actually though, I think Jacobs is relatively smart out of the ring and he's an intelligent fighter...Maybe not the most intelligent but he's pretty crafty inside the ring. I just think that Canelo was too much for him tonight.

I disagree. DJ was smart enough to not go for the KO.

It's not that Danny has low ring/outside of the ring IQ like MCC says.

He just fought a more skilled fighter than him. Same thing with the Golovkin fight.

Danny has the power. He has the heart. But he doesn't have the skills.
I agree. I was pulling for Jacobs, who seems like a great Christian guy. But Canelo is simply the best fighter in the world right now. He’s fast, rock solid chin, can counterpunch, can potshot, go to the body. He can do it all. Frankly the fact Jacobs went the distance is a compliment to Jacobs’ abilities.

He paid for the weight advantage and didn't even try to use it. Not sure that means he's dumb.. but it's not smart?

The better man won, no doubt, but if you say Canelo made Jacobs look look like trash you're just a fan girl.

The better man won. He didn't dominate. He didn't humiliate his opponent. He got the job done. The end.
The fight ****** because Danny decided to box Canelo rather than fighting him and Ginger couldn't cut off the ring. Which is why it was a boring fight. Fleet-footed fighters have always historically given Alvarez trouble. Like: Mayweather, Lara and Jacobs.

I watched it with my wife and I kept telling her when fighters face Canelo, they must be very active and convincing in the eyes of the judges and Jacobs is doing neither. He payed a ridiculous amount of fine for a couple lbs yet he didnt take advantage of it smh. *** him.

It was a sparring session. There was no sense of urgency as he was doing just enough to stay in the fight.

After he beat cancer, I thought he would have found a new perspective as a fighter. He beat cancer ffs what have you got to fear in the ring? He refused to go that extra mile. I agree he isnt that smart. Did he expect to win a decision? Lmfao.

I saw Ray Leonard shaking his head while talking about Jacobs post fight. Can you imagine how Somebody like Leonard would have approached this fight.

                    *** daniel jacobs.

This. Should have kept the 1 million and cut the 3 lbs. He isnt going to get a payday as big as this ever again.
