He’s been fortunate to get some close/controversial decisions. Both his fights with GGG, Lara, and Trout come to mind. But IMO the only one of those fights he clearly lost was Lara. Personally, I had him losing to GGG in their rematch and I had him losing by a point to Trout. But I don’t really hold those against him because those fights could have gone either way. I’m in the minority in that I had Canelo winning the first fight with GGG. But that falls into the same category as the rematch and the Trout fight. Fight was close enough that I don’t have a problemwith anyone that saw it the other way.

Crawford and Lima have made every opponent look ordinary...hmmm I wonder why... oh that’s right, they WERE ordinary. If Canelo manages to unify getting past Jacobs, Andrade and GGG (done), that would be p4p #1 100%. That would be a biggest accomplishment than all of loma and Crawford’s resume combined

Tank is ducking Loma and literally 5 Welterweights are ducking Crawford. Spencer, Poochman, Trackstar Thurman, MMAPorter, and Cherry Gift Garcia...none of them want to fight Crawford.

So it's tough for Crawford to get those scalps - and he would beat all of them.

I personally consider Crawford #1. But, I think most of the guys near the top have better resumes. In my own little boxing universe. There’s a difference between a P4P King and a P4P #1. A P4P King is unquestioned. A P4P #1 is a guy that’s at the top of the list either by default, or at the top when there’s other guys that can make a legit argument for being the top guy. To me, the last P4P King was Floyd. I thought Ward came the closet to cementing himself as the P4P King since Floyd retired. But Ward retired immediately after his biggest win. I like Crawford the best right now. But because of boxing politics, he’s gonna have a tough time getting that defining win that makes him the unquestioned P4P King.

I agree by your standards there is no PFP King.

It's a shame that the PBC boys are afraid of Terrence Crawford. Gift Garcia literally ducked a career high payday and instead fought for $1 million flat. Ouch.

Good point, I agree that the best guys in their divisions are not too hot on fighting loma or Crawford so it’s basically a catch 22: if no one wants to dance they can’t get to the big money leagues and if they don’t offer a huge payday no one wants to dance. And who knows, styles make fights and one of those other top guys might even give them a hell of a fight... the world may never find out.
