Haymon's disappearance from the sport will make a huge difference.
    He's a huge cancer.

Don King was an amazing business man. He may have robbed his fighters, but he NEVER robbed the public of top shelf quality fights.

Simply put there is too much corruption in boxing and the veins run deep. Since the 1950s. So good luck with that. The powers that be know its a nationalistic, emotional sport that panders to our worst stereo types and so as long as that's there then money can be made.

Boxing fans would have to change the way we view the sport. Unfortunately boxing probably has some of the most ignorant fans in the world of sports.

We have to Judge fighters by their work ethic and their skill level and not their looks or which country they're from. On what they do inside the ring and not outside and leave judgement for out of ring activities to be handled by the commission.

All fights should be mandatory so that only the best of the best will prevail. Too many belts.

Without question; People were so put off by that robbery decision that many of them swore off boxing for good. I could remember it vividly.

Lewis carried the entire fight while Holyfield did hardly next to nothing. Many believed; Including Roy Jones, Jr at the time that Don King had bought off the judges in Holyfield's favor.

In addition, a lot of people thought they put the screws to Lennox Lewis because he was not an American and was fighting on foreign soil.

Less so called stars and more fighters.

The time you mentioned had Oscar, Holyfield, hopkins, Tito, mab, Morales, pac... All stars yes but also true fighters. Men of mettle who fought the best and produced electricity.

Now we have guys who shout on twitter and fight bums.

I wouldn't doubt it, Not only was Holyfield an American, but he was also a vocal Christian to boot that had a squeaky clean image at the time.
