Official record says Roman beat Estrada and that’s all that matters.

And as far as GG not being as good as Roman, that’s not true. They were fairly even at the time.. but Canelo fought him with a physical disadvantage unlike Estrada.

Cotto may not have been in his prime but Canelo was a young pup when they fought and he won.

It’s not just black and white. You also have to take circumstances into account when rating victories.

Lose by an inch lose by a mile don't matter you lost. The key is canelo only loss is to Floyd best fighter of the last 3 decades maybe ever has never been beaten and basically everyone loses clear to him. Meanwhile Estrada has multiple losses to worse fighters all of have been beaten before by other fighters. SSR has 5 losses, Sanchez has 6 losses and Chocalito was beaten twice. Nobody has beaten Floyd. 1 loss to Floyd > 3 losses to fighters not named Floyd who were all beaten by someone else before they fought you.

Canelo has more list of achievements 3 division world champ, lineal titles, unified belt holder in multipe weights, beaten more world champs, more top P4P Ranked fighters. The fighters he's beaten were better he flat out has better wins better resume and fewer losses and oh yeah he's younger then Estrada.

You guys need to stop being prisoner of the moment Estrada was a top 20 P4P fighter before last night got a good win but that ain't enough to leap frog a guy who's been top 10 P4P for half a decade and is on everybodies top 3 P4P.

You can't make all Estrada's losses go away no matter how hard you try. And you can't tell me wins over guys like SSR and Vilario is better then wins over GGG, Cotto, Lara, Trout, etc. And I don't even like GGG lol

And that's not even getting into the fact that Canelo has won more belts, in more weight classes, lineal, unifed in multiple weights, beaten more world champs, there is no accomplishment Estrada has that canelo hasn't done but better lol

I get your points, great points, but... Gallo has clearly dominated a top 10 p4p fighter as the challenger while the champ is still in his prime. Canelo has never done that.

Canelo is better both pfp and by his boxing record. Estrada fought a great fight but he has 3 losses. I think Canelo lost two very close fights to GGG but GGG was the best in the world and better than the three guys who beat Estrada. Overall Canelo has a better record against stronger competition and has performed better. Both are excellent.

Canelo weighed in at 160 the same as GGG. He recorded a fight night weight of 170 the same as GGG so where was Canelo's physical disadvantage? Canelo had grown into a full middleweight by the time he fought GGG. His 154 pound days were over. I do think Canelo is better Than Estrada by his boxing record and the consistent excellence of his fights and he always learns and improves fight after fight. He has defeated more champions and famous fighters.

Canelo no doubt. He does everything better than Estrada.

I can't remember the last time I saw Canelo really dominant like that in a fight against another good fighter.
He did look great. No doubt about it. But the same guy he beat beat him the last time they fought and two others beat him as well. A couple more fights like that and I might rate him with Canelo but the poll says more think he is better than Canelo so maybe he is. He looked amazing last night.

Estrada is more diverse than Canelo is. Not as strong or powerful P4P, but the superior ring general no doubt.

Estrada has the better resume with wins over Sor, Viloria and Cuadras. The other names were shot though so don't mean anything.

Canelo only has Trout as he didn't beat G either time or Lara. Others like Mosley, Cotto and the like meant nothing due to being finished. Khan was too small for it to register.

So yeah, Estrada gets my vote.
