People trying to argue Ortiz has the same value as Miller are talking nonsense

Ortiz is so popular he's fighting on undercards.
Do you just copy what the promoters put out? Ortiz is clearly not a top 3 HW. Only a ****ing clueless idiot would say such a thing.
Ortiz was a mandatory and would have made 5+ mil fighting Joshua, he chose to fight the easier option Wilder for 500k.
10X your highest ever purse isn't a lowball in any world other than Wildturd.
Do you not see the irony of this? Your existence is spent echoing whatever Eddie Hearn says like a parrot. He's easily top 5, most of these others aren't top 20.
He's on undercards sure so are all these other names being thrown about.
I've never heard a Cuban complain about being lowballed. You's even spun it to make it look like Ortiz ducked Whyte ffs
This is why boxing is in a state rather than fans putting pressure on promoters to make the best fights possible you's spend your lives defending them like loyal wives then we get these bs PPVs with AJ headlining against Manual Charr or Trevor Bryan time and time again.Comment

Well said, and absolutely true.. Theyre big mouthed NYers all over the place over here, Miller just happens to be a boxer. We're not intrigued by a big mouth over here any more than we are impressed by a fat dude bragging about how tough & poor he had it in the past. Its not that we don't care, its just seen as a form of bragging thats a bit played out.....Us NYers would have been "impressed" (with his sad past) if he didnt try to cheat and had used the sad experience as motivation to give Joshua a run for his money. TONS of people have had bad pasts, but "braggin'" about it is played out!!You created a thread because I disagreed with you??
Hearn fans have such silly notions about what American fans will or won't buy.
The lengths people go to in order to protect the honor of Hearn are downright embarrassing.
The pay difference has nothing to do with marketability, it's Eddie's biz relationship with Miller.
US fans don't know or care about Miller. They do know Ortiz because of the Wilder fight. No matter how many times you quote me, you're going to be wrong about this so don't expect me to comment about it again. Just live it with.Comment

What’s more ridiculous is people acting like Ortiz is some position to bargain here. If he was to get more, good for him, but he’s really being offered an opportunity that could easily go to someone else for less money.Comment

You said Ortiz was a top 3 HW. You lost all credibility with that statement.
You are defending fighters turning down multiple x their highest purses for fights. It's you that has no interest in seeing these fights. The amount these HW's are demanding to fight Joshua is absurd. Look at all the big draws throughout history, they didn't pay undercard fighters big money. Mayweather and Pacquiao weren't paying opponents that were much more popular than Ortiz even 15% of what they earned. Nobody cried lowball then, because paying fighters much more than they've ever earned isn't a lowball.Comment

Top 3 or 4th it makes no difference.
Just because its a career high doesn't mean they should take it.
If a promoter approached you and said Robbie you do such an excellent job blowing Eddie I'm willing to pay you more to work for me would you? No, of course not.
Whoever steps in will be saving the PPV and not having a full camp they deserve to be rewarded handsomely. Without Ortiz this PPV stinks. He's the only guy available that can make this PPV worthy, period.
He knows his worth, his position and he has other options. A Wilder rematch with a full camp for one.
What's up with you guys? Why can't you just be vocal and say we want Ortiz and put pressure on Eddie to make a better offer?
He's already lost half a mill promoting Miller, he needs Ortiz and its what fans want.
Nobody cares about seeing AJ vs a fat guy not good enough to be one of his sparring partners, its not acceptable and in this day and age its unacceptable for promoters to not have a back up option on hold.Last edited by dan_cov; 04-25-2019, 01:51 AM.Comment

Of course it matters. It shows you're a moron. Only a clown would type that Ortiz is top 3 at HW.Top 3 or 4th it makes no difference.

It's not a PPV.
Miller was getting overpaid by DAZN because he's an undefeated American. Ortiz isn't.
If someone offered you 10x what you are earning now, would you turn it down because they offered someone else more?

Ortiz doesn't have the same value as Miller......... he's worth more.
Simple math, Ortiz had a world champion inches away from a KO, couldn't pull it off or survive but I think Miller's best opponent so far has been Gerald Washington, which ain't saying much.
That said, he should have taken the Hearn offer, I don't see him attracting much attention elsewhere, and if he's got the cojones, confidence and skills to take AJ's belts he'd take the title shot contract for peanuts.Last edited by club fighter; 04-25-2019, 02:16 AM.Comment

I agree Robbie. Ortiz is probably a more dangerous fight (given time and allowed to take PEDs), but Miller is the more marketable. I hope Hearn is serious when he says he's gonna expose Team Ortiz. I hope he buries them once and for all because it's getting annoying. They're like a broken record, fighting for a few hundred thousand on PBC undercards, while trying to dirty AJ's name. Fook outta here with that bullchit!Comment
