Correct, but Ortiz is still a much bigger attraction than Miller. Ortiz would also be taking the fight on short notice. If Miller was getting 6.5, I can understand Ortiz holding out for 8, especially since he can likely make close to 8 in a Wilder rematch, and he'd get a full camp.Comment

Of course it’s a lowball they’re just using Ortiz name to generate some attention for AJ. They never wanted to fight him or else they would of at least offered Ortiz the same purse as Miller. Why offer a fighter a lower number to fight on a short notice. Doesn’t makes sense but like old man Bob said Hearn has absolutely no idea what he’s doing.Comment

It’s been amazing people think 5mil is a lowball offer to someone who previously said they’d take the fight for any amount of money and has a career high payday of 500kComment

Miller was headlining on a service nobody has on shows nobody was buying tickets to. The public doesn't know who he is. Not his fault. But HBO and Showtime never got behind him. HBO and Showtime have various points have both gotten behind Ortiz.Comment

based on the idiotic logic of the AJ/hearn fanboys since they ortizs previous high payday was 500k should hearn have offered ortiz 501k and said "hey we gave you a raise..more than your previous high"?
would that be ok with you? if you answer yes you should go drink a nice lukewarm glass of bleach....because you have no concept of markets and money and life
hearn set the market....6.5...if you are ranked higher than miller and actually have US tv exposure and have been in a FOTY candidate against wilder in ny then you are entitled to at least that......
but its obvious hearn would rather give AJs fans an easy night work and a knockout and save himself 4.5 million
it boggles my mind how dumb you guys can actually be....like you cant really believe your own BS
You’re showing your bias because rather than focusing on the fact Ortiz said he would fight aj for anything and then turning down a massive sum of money you’re trying to claim Hearn is low balling him.Comment

I agree but a lot of people think he’s the best available opponent. Tbh it’s slim pickings if it was down to me I’d choose konowacki.Comment

You are saying his value and stock has risen. Where? Saying Showtime, at various points what ever the hell that means, have gotten behind him means what exactly?
You should be telling me he headlines, you should be telling me he gets paid more money and i would have to say yes you are right his stock has risen. But all i got then was Showtime have started to get behind him.Last edited by DaNeutral.; 04-26-2019, 10:56 AM.Comment

I am sure his next fight he will get a purse and fight of the magnitude that an old bloke on the slide deserves.Comment
