Personally I would consider Ortiz more blameworthy than AJ/Hearn since Ortiz stands to lose a hell of a lot more than AJ if the fight doesn't happen.
But I take your point that we don't have all the info as yet. It's just that even $5m is 10 times the dude's highest payday. In that context it's hard to see why Ortiz turned his nose up at it, especially when he claimed he'd fight AJ for free not so long ago.Comment

What planet are you living on?
Miller fought Duhaupas, Washington and wach. These guys are literally all exactly on the same low, fringe level.Comment

Wilder knocks everyone out does he? Yeah, he did a great job in the first Stiverne fight and with Fury. Jeez, ******ity is off the scale. Apart from Ortiz, who gassed out badly by the way, they were complete bums. So who cares if he knocked out a load of garbage? No one cares. Lets see the coward do it to Whyte and AJ. Oh no, wait, he's too scared and turning down his biggest paydays for them. Typical American coward he is. All he does is run from proper fights and struggles with bums until he finally knocks them out late in the fight. Great.Comment

Who are "you people"??? I assume you're from another country and you sound so upset about MY opinion.
Instead of challenging it or simply asking me to elaborate, you result to insults and witless banter.
You're probably small "in the pants" and can't accept it, so you hurl insults to make yourself feel better.
Move along.
It was a crazed opinion that made no sense. Just like so many of "You people" do on here. If you can't see that Ortiz had set his bar for a world title fight at 500K then that's your fault, not mine. 5 Mill is huge. However, Hearn has come out and called that sum a lie and said he offered more than that. Ortiz is a joke that should be forgotten about and ignored after all his talk about wanting AJ at any price. He's proved himself to be a coward just like the rest are in the division.Comment

Exactly! Why in THE hell were they ready to pay Miller THAT much money when he's done dick in the sport???
Boxing fans still see Ortiz as a threat and keep naming him in these "fantasy fights", but the second he asks for more money on short notice, he's being unreasonable???
Crazy.
Again, WTF has Miller done to deserve what they were about to pay him? He was about to get what, $6.5M? $8M?
People are crazy if they think Ortiz isn't worth that much but Miller is. Smh
The fact AJ has to pay the world just to get these cowards to fight is pathetic. They should be chasing him, not the other way round. He's not a f3cking charity.Comment

Yes he was offered 10 times his highest payday, but isn't AJ a bigger star than Wilder (financially)?
I'm only coming from that angle because this is AJ's U.S. debut and he should be facing a decent opponent.
I mean, Miller was a decent choice, but everybody pretty much knew the outcome.
I'm in the mind that he doesn't necessarily deserve $10M, but I feel he should've gunned for that amount until they negotiated a lower price.
That $5M was probably a solid number, but sheesh....wouldn't you ask for a bit more? I mean, he IS fighting AJ of all people.
I won't argue you down about your point because it's valid as well and I appreciate....but it is AJ we're talking about here. Who's to say Ortiz would've gotten a call after he beat Miller?
It's all f3cked up and crazy. Floyd never had this problem. And no American ever called for him to give more. But all of a sudden, a Brit is in the driving seat and those very people are up in arms. Hmmm. You know how Americans are constantly hating on AJ on here so they're just looking for any way to smear him and call him a coward and say he's the one ducking even though he's giving out the biggest paydays.Comment
