One key bit of info is that Hearn is planning to send another offer, fight not fully dead yet. To me turning down 5M is a bad call, but if Ortiz holds out for a bit more and gets it he will have played the situation well.

Nothing right with that either. Hearn has been involved with 2 fights of Ortiz ‘s professional career. He doesn’t owe him anything. What did Ortiz make fighting the other champion. What is it with these leeches? He has earned peanuts his entire career and he is being offered more money for a fight than he has earned his entire career. When will this chance come around again? Take the money get knocked out and share your new wealth with your family.

So ortiz with a history of ped use gets knocked out by wilder only got 500k for that and think he deserves 10m for being a replacement.

Ortiz must have read the winky wright manual on negotiations.

When has a replacement boxer ever made more then the scheduled one?

              Highest pay day 500k

Was given 10 times that and ducks Joshua after stating he will fight him for little
              Money

              What a joke

AJ has all the advantages in this situation.

Maybe Ortiz wants a full training camp so he actually has a chance to win?

Hand over the money bag or forget it. Ortiz gets a full training camp vs. Wilder!

What an idiot am pretty sure this is more than what he got paid fighting Wilder... MAN....sometimes I wonder what these fighters are thinking about why they over price themselves...

both sides faulty on this one
Might just be negotiating. If Ortiz expected the same terms as Miller, then saw a lower offer come in, the 10m counter could be a 'eff u, I want my 6.5'. I highly suspect Hearn goes back with a 6.5 and Ortiz accepts it - if he doesn't, Hearn should move on.

Hearn might have suspected if he went in at 6.5, Ortiz would try push to 7.5 or something - so Hearn might have gone low so as to be able to lock in 6.5 once the fur started to fly.

If Heddie ***** can pay Prince Charles Martin 7 million for him and his IBF belt, then I’m quite sure he can sc**** up 3 million more and pay Ortiz what he wants
