As long as Hearn is offering the Miller purse that's fine, who knows what Ortiz is calling a low ball here could be in the wrong or the right.

Hes not more marketable at all. The tickets have already been sold, Miller trash talking was helping sell the excitement of the fight. Ortiz doesn't even speak English, does he?

I think they should offer what Miller was going to get but he doesn't deserve a penny more.

I'm sorry - as reasons not to take a fight go - describing any offer that Matchroom USA will have made as 'lowball' is plainly fantasy. They were prepared to pay the deeply untalented Miller a guaranteed six million, with a share of the international ppv sales on top of that. $8m is a conservative estimate.

To think they suddenly got cheap when they have the US debut of Joshua on the line is illogical.

And even if they did suddenly go cheap and only offered Luis half of what they promised Miller - how does a record pay day translate into a 'low ball' offer? Half a million seems low ball to me.

The real sadness is that by passing up this chance Ortiz will now probably never get to fight Joshua. As after this voluntary he has mandatories stacking up. I just don't understand this decision.

This !!!!! I'd give Ortiz a good shot to beat AJ as well. Take the fight beat him and hit the lotto twice with a rematch. A close loss could even leave the door open to a rematch. Saying no all together with no other comparable offers to fight anyone else just seems foolish.

This sucks cuz I really wanted Ortiz to get his chance. I doubt he ever gets one in the future & until Wilder & AJ fight I doubt Al risks Wilders 0 in a rematch with Ortiz

Miller was being paid 6.5million to fight Joshua, there's no way Hearn would be offering anything below that amount in a fight he expressed really wanting to make evidenced in the fact this nobody shill said hearn has "sent multiple offers". According to Ortiz on Facebook he wanted 10milllion which is absurd and they knew was impossible. Ortiz earned 500k vs Wilder. It doesn't take a genius to work it out.

The fact that they didn't mention what was offered is telling. I'm inclined to believe they offered Millers purse or close to it. Probably 5 mill flat.

Even if Hearn offered him half of Millers purse at 3.5 million Ortiz's people should all be fired cuz he'll never see anything close to that fighting any 1 else.

I don't get why people can't see this. It would make zero business sense to lowball on this fight.

It's quite clear how much pressure hearn is under from his broadcasters to make this work so for him to lowball and screw that up just doesn't make sense.
