nah im not comparing....obviously lopez hasnt proven what ward and canelo did beforehand.....but back to the point...weve heard how those guys were going to be destroyed by the EE wunderkinds....just like were hearing now about loma/lopez....

Lopez gonna KO Loma cause Loma is a huge poosy

You see I can play it that way too. Also, wasn't it Andre Ward and Canelo that people were claiming that they were the ones "ducking, running scared" from Kovalev/GGG? But now it's Loma who's "ducking, running scared" from Lopez. Going by that then that should give you an idea of what the results are gonna be like against Lopez. The same ole story indeed.
rigo was like 36 and fought once a year for 3 years and was coming up two weight classes lol

walters was on the shelf, inactive, and hasnt fought since lol

lopez isnt the same old story...its a young, exciting, prospect wanting to fight a p4p guy....in fact its a completely new story...not many kids like that would want to put their 0 on the line against a guy like loma....its completely fresh and refreshing

why does loma not want the fight? the belts will still be there to collect when hes done dispatching the young prospect right?

go ahead....just say it "loma wouldnt get any credit for beating lopez"....i know you wanna say it...go ahead LOL

'cept he totally would get credit and it would be cool

LOL I'll gladly go right ahead and say it loud and clear if it hasn't been clear enough for you already. HE WILL NOT GET CREDIT FOR BEATING LOPEZ AT THIS STAGE. Please refer back to what I said from another thread, which you did NOT have an answer for:

I will be all for a Lopez fight if Lopez actually had some SUBSTANCE in his resume. It all boils down to how much MEANING it has with a win over Lopez. But seeing that Lopez has nothing going for him at the moment a win over him right now is MEANINGLESS.

Be honest with yourself, do you ACTUALLY think that Loma would get any kind of credibility for choosing a PROSPECT over champs like Davis, let alone get ANY well deserve credit for beating someone so inexperienced?

I would really like to hear your response to this. The way I see it I see this fight right now it's similar to a LV 100 video game character fighting a LV 50 character. The LV 100 character is NOT gonna gain that much XP.

lolol...there it is...."he will not get credit" LOLOL

i am being honest...if he beats lopez it will be a bigger win than anyone besides davis or mikey....take davis out of the equation here and dont mention him....because i never said lopez would be a better choice than davis...but for the moment davis/loma seems unlikely

yes lopez would be the most credible win he could get in his division sans mikey and davis.....and neither of those fights are likely any time soon

he would totally get credit......but you wanna live behind that "he wont get any credit anyway" excuse because you are slowly realizing his people are afraid to take the fight...and its for a reason

I see nothing wrong with that. It's admirable that he is making noise and trying hard to get that fight. Going after the glory is admirable.

Better that than facing another carefully chosen setup by Top Rank.
                [QUOTE=ShoulderRoll;19671898]

Instead of fighting someone good, why is Lopez fighting another scrub tomorrow then? He is a big 135, why not just move up to 140 and fight one of the champs such as Ramirez and Hooker or maybe fight the winner of the WBSS?

If Lopez thinks he is better than Loma then he should call out Mikey. Im pretty sure Mikey would definitely face him next as his comeback fight and it would generate a lot of interests.

The reason why I say he won't get credit is because a win over Lopez holds NO WEIGHT at all since he has done nothing of significance right now. I know for a fact that people are going to quickly scrutinize and discredit a Loma victory over a green novice, while giving endless amounts of excuses for it, and then people will quickly turn their backs on Lopez if he gets washed out by Loma.

The fact remains, we don't know EXACTLY how good this kid REALLY is until he actually steps up his competition instead of looking good against cans. For all we know he could lose his very next fight before he could fight Loma, but since you guys really want to throw him into the wolves so fast you guys are not doing Lopez any favors at all.

I want Lopez to establish himself as a top tier fighter first, not be a sacrificial lamb.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for you to understand.
