Now to respond to what you said above. There is a huge difference between inner confidence and outer arrogance. It doesn't take a first semester in college on psychology 101 to know one is real; the other is a facade that comes from a lacking of grounding or insecurity. Lopez thinks he is the hottest thing, which is pure narcissistic overestimation at this point.

When or rather IF he beats a group of top fighters, then he can makes some claims, and that is a big IF. Till then he remains a bag of wind and comes across as desperate with his daily rants about Loma.

And he even has the gall to insist that Loma fight him by December, not realizing he is in no position of power to make such demands. He is too dumb to realize that you don't put all your eggs into one basket, you call out all the top fighters and not just one every day, limiting your chances of fighting top fighters.

On top of all that, it is the promoter who makes the final decisions; not Lopez, not Lomachenko.
So I'll hold on to your last statement.... We know that's false.... If a fighter Really wants to make a fight HAPPEN that's a Star like Loma.... He can veto fights I'm sure... Plenty promoters on record saying they didn't want this or that fight for their fighter but "He" wanted it..... Make the fight.... Could be an upset or learning experience.....i.e May vs Nelo.... Either way who gives a fck about his mouth.... Shut him up or stop listening... The narrative always changes when certain fighters get called out... He wants the Loma fight... How should he get it...... Any means necessary he deems fit...

        I don't mind a mini tournament at 135: Davis/Lopez/Mikey/Lomachenko. It won't happen.

You are dead wrong regarding promoters. If they don't want a fight to happen, it will not happen. If they feel strongly their fighter could lose, they will not allow it unless they are cashing out on a problematic or old fighter. So next time you hear a promoter say they didn't want a fight because it is risky, don't kid yourself into thinking that the promoter didnt have the final say. Their influence is also decided by sanctioning body mandatories to accept a fight, postpone a fight, or vacate the title. As well as management influence.

There is a boxing promoter who visits this site who has promoted a large number ESPN fights and will tell you it is the promoter who chooses the venue, the promoter who chooses the opponent, the promoter who puts up the money, not the fighter, the promoter is taking the monetary risk and is given the right to chose who the fighter will fight based on THEIR investment. It is in the contract.

Only with superstars like Mayweather does the fighter get to make the choices. And since the promoter, Arum, in this case promotes both fighters, HE is the one who decides. The fighter can only provide input. That is why countless fighters say it is up to their promoter, it is not a cop out, it is the reality of the business, because it IS up to their promoter who makes the selection. Next time you claim a statement is false, make damn sure you know what you are talking about; clearly you do not.
