Nah, he's signed with World of Boxing and Matchroom.

No, Hearn has never said that!

He's said that DAZN have exclusive rights to all shows promoted by Matchroom USA. That's a different thing altogether.

If a Matchroom fighter fights on a show promoted by somebody else, who doesn't have an exclusivity deal with DAZN, then DAZN have no rights to that fight.

I don't know about any exclusivity deal between Jacobs and DAZN. but if there is one, then that's not a Matchroom exclusivity deal. Like I said, DAZN and Matchroom are 2 different entities.

If Bivol is signed with Matchroom and talking about fighting on ESPN, then how does that fit with what you were saying to me about Matchroom fighters only being allowed to fight on DAZN?

You are using semantics right now. He said his Matchroom USA fighters will be exclusive to DAZN. If Bivol signed a deal with Matchroom USA, then he wouldn't be a promotional FA, he would be fighting just on DAZN.

Jacobs absolutely inked a deal with Matchroom USA and DAZN.

I believe this is the link, but Jacobs mentions he has a three fight deal with DAZN.

His deal could be done differently. But when his deal was first signed, this is what Rafael reported:

Bivol will appear exclusively on sports streaming service DAZN, where Hearn has a long-term contract.
            http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...s-joe-smith-jr

So how did we get to the point he is now a network free agent? Was Rafael's original report wrong? Is Bivol's deal written up differently giving him the option to fight on other networks? Was Rafael wrong with this report that Bivol is a network free agent?

Frank won both cases - for loss of earnings and damages - but didn't get any money out of it because Burns and his trainer both declared themselves bankrupt.

Frank tried to get out of paying his lawyers because he said that, as he didn't get any money from the cases, neither should they. The court found against him though and ordered him to pay up. The Devil looks after his own!

Rafael is notorious for not checking his facts and making mistakes in his reports. He maybe just assumed that Bivol was tied to DAZN and didn't do any research into it.

It's not just sematics. DAZN having exclusive rights to Matchroom shows does not mean that Matchroom fighters can't fight for other promoters on other networks.

Danny Jacobs says there that he has a 3 fight deal with DAZN. One of those fights is against Canelo, and if he wins that one, another will be against GGG, who, like Canelo, also has a deal with DAZN.

Jacobs, Canelo and GGG are all tied to DAZN, not Matchroom.

So who and on what network is Bivol fighting next? It's been a month and a half almost since his last fight.
