Yeah that's what I was under the impression of as well, but let's not let that get in the way of a good conspiracy theory that makes someone other than the guy who popped dirty look like the shady villian/coward/huckster.

With being said, I think Ortiz is too dangerous and will not be offered the fight.
I was praying for him to get the Joshua fight when I found out he had a daughter that was disabled or in need or long term medical treatment. A payday like this is what he must have been waiting for. If he is made to turn it down because of network or promised future fights then boxing really need to bury its head in shame.

If Ortiz doesn't get the fight it'll be his own fault. Think Hearn has been clear enough that is the one he wants.

I think it'll be Hunter, just pray it's not Charr!

Charr would be an incredibly dull whitewash... though at least there would be one less WBA belt for a week before they make a new one.

Everyone is a legit threat to Wilder, and while I think Wilder KOs Whyte, anything can happen. We all bashing these guys for turning down fight against AJ, but Whyte has turned the AJ fight down again for 3 belts.
Thats what pisses me off the most with the 'bc, they are just as bad as the 'ba! All these interim, super, regular, silver, cuauhtemoc belts are just an excuse to get money out of these fighters.

Its hard to play by their rules when they seem to change em so much lol

I bash on Whyte just as hard for his bs too! As for the rest of these guys, imo they cant say, ever again, that they want to be thee HW Champ of the world, when it looks like they ONLY want to be the 'bc belt holder of the world.

Hearn said Don King called and offered Trevor Bryan, and Hearn said that it WOULDN'T be him, so unless he's done a 180 0n that in the last few hours...

Hearn called Ortiz's manager and his manager said it was too short notice, but that he would have a word with Ortiz to see what he wants to do. Meantime Ortiz is saying he's up for it - so it seems to be 'who wins the debate ?' - Ortiz or his manager.

Ortiz has a potentialfight with Wilder that he might not want to jeopardise, so might just come down to which of those has the most money (would have thought it would be Joshua ?) and whether Ortiz would give up a guaranteed slot v Joshua (assuming he's first on the list) vs the uncertainty of another shot at Wilder.
