he beat micky ward (should have)

one judge had it 98-90!!!! it was clearly home-town judging. They hardly gave augustus any credit. i though he won even with the KD

Augustus is an entertainer. I think Augustus could beat Harris any day of the week if he doest play around in there and comes to fight. Either way, it would a very entertaing fight. These 2 guys should be an undercard for a Mayweather fight.

yup i had him winning that fight too, though it was close... I can't remember what I scored it, he "struggled" with Ward because he wanted to fight Ward's fight to please the crowd and damn did he do a good job doing it.

Like I said, if he struggled in a close fight with Ward years ago, he will struggle with Harris now. This will be a fight in which Harris is slightly favored. It could be a good fight. Augustus' ring savvy and generalship vs Harris' power and youth.

Like I said, if you call that struggling, you didn't watch the fight. It was even terms almost the entire way with Augustus outlanding Ward significatnly.

Yes, Augustus was very impressive in hat fight. He took a high amount of shots that he did not need to. If he came up with a win over Harris, it would be his biggest win to-date for sure because it'll be over a former champ and it might get him top 10 type respect at 140.

Going even with Ward though means he won't dominate Harris. It'll be a competitive fight for sure.

augustus should get a shot at fighting harris on hbo, he's a fill in guy, it isnt like it's a title match. he's a last minute replacement, why not give him the chance, it's not like it's a total **** over in the world of boxing politics.

style wise if he lets his hands go and doesn't cover up he can easliy beat harris. harris is too one demsional and when augustus is in a groove he'll just be toying with harris.

but why not let the fans see something that is going to be entertaining. nothing against N'dou, but he's on his way to having damn near the same kind of record as augustus, everytime he steps up in competition he loses. i have yet to see a fight that he's in to where the whole boxing public thinks he got robbed like augustus' fights. although not all of them were robbery's but still.
augustus's record doesnt say much but his fight style and ring presence does. he is a helluva fighter to watch and never has a dull fight. if hbo is at all concerned with making entertaining match ups then they would seriously consider having augustus as a replacement fighter. but they want to hand pick people and make ****ty match ups. hbo is slipping and isnt putting together fights that the people want to see in general. they're all about grooming their fighters and trying to cash in on whichever wat they can.

plus it's a ****ing hbo boxing after dark show. they had ed lover and kevin kelley as announcers before the show aint that serious..............put augustus on for **** sake.

Exactly. Never beat great opposition. There are more deserving fighters. Fighters that respect boxing and don't take dives.

You make it seemed like Augustus dominated Ward.
