DAVIS is only 24 years old and ELLERBE is only protecting his investment,.... DAVIS has potential to be a huge ppv star so why would ELLERBE risk DAVIS getting beat so early in his career?? Think about it??!

Why doesn't it make sense when it comes to Davis. Even if they feel he'll win, there is still a risk he won't. Moreso because he doesn't fight often enough to be ready for a big fight like a Loma ppv.

I totally agree with you! Nothing wrong with Ellerbe and Mayweather if they feel Davis needs more experience before they put him in with Loma....I think he does...

Davis is a 2 times world champion, Teo is still in the low bunch of contenders.

It is pretty much obvious why Davis Vs Loma makes more sense.

You guys are just clouded by your bias and ignorance.

If we refrain from looking at this through a color lens then Teo vs Loma is a much more viable fight than Loma vs Tank, and here’s why:

1)Loma and Tank r in different divisions, and no one should be attempting to verbally force any fighter to move up before they’re ready.

2) With Loma vs Tank, there could be network obstacles. And it’s not like Bob has agreed to have the fight anywhere TMT would like to.

3) Obviously Loma vs Lopez is same everything, same weight, same promotion same network.

On the Business side, Bob would probably kill his first born before pitting two of his best, undefeated fighters against each other.

In summary, Loma fans really look ****** using Tank as their scapegoat goat to deflect attention away from Lopez when Lopez is a great fight that can be made with NO obstacles.

Maybe Tank and TMT don’t feel confident that Tank can win against Loma, and I’m ok with that probably being true.

But why aren’t Loma fans ok with the notion that Loma may also have doubts about being able to beat Lopez ?

For all of the posters like good ole Ray, how is it deflection if Lopez is actually calling for the fight. Here is how silly you guys sound with the deflection talk....Davis is at 130 and not calling out Loma. Lopez is at 135 and calling out Loma. Loma is at 135 ignoring the guy at 135 promoted by his promoter, calling for a fight against Davis the 130 guy. Yet its deflection to say that the two 135 guys promoted by the same promoter should fight?

Fact: Ellerbe already said that Loma Davis isn't happening anytime soon. Call it ducking, call it marinating, call it getting Davis experience (or at least some consistency of fighting without out of the ring trouble). Call it what you want, they have been very clear. However, that does not stop Arum or Loma from bringing his name up. There should be nothing to deflect.

So Tank isn't fighting Loma because he's scared....but Loma's not fighting Lopez because of some logical reason other than being scared?

I feel you fam! I don't think Loma is afraid of Lopez, but he wants a "bigger" name! I think somehow, in his head, beating Floyd's protégé, is like beating Floyd! He's already turned down Pacquiao @ 140, which would've been huge money! He can't get Mikey Garcia! So I think he feels Tank is the "bigger" event! However, I believe he's short-sighted! Just look at this week! Teofimo has more press than Crawford! If Teofimo gets the KO Saturday, Loma should be calling Arum ASAP! In fact, Loma should be ringside! Commey is not going anywhere, and no one really cares about that fight! Top 5 contender in your own stable, in your own weight class, who was raised in NYC, and is "THE DRAW" at MSG already!
