  • Comments Thread For: Joshua-Fury Fight Not Likely, Despite Promoters on Good Terms

Bob Arum and Eddie Hearn have traded insults the past few weeks, but that hasn't prevented them from doing business together. The Top Rank and Matchroom Boxing leaders co-promoted Friday's Vasiliy Lomachenko-Anthony Crolla lightweight match and also come together for the Terence Crawford-Amir Khan welterweight pay-per-view bout on April 20. The two sides are also discussing a super middleweight unification bout between Gilberto Ramirez and Callum Smith.

The article mentions Hearn not having a working relationship with PBC. Interestingly enough they used to work together through fights on PBC during the time buy years, the worked together on Showtime, they worked together to make the Spence vs Brook card......so the question is when did the relationship go sour and why? I suspect I will get vastly different responses on this one, namely from the militant Eddie Hearn fans.....I know why it went sour, but the spin will no doubt be amusing.....

Call it how it really is. Arum will do a deal on his terms. Fury vs Joshua wont happen as it wont be on Arum's terms. Theres no "together", that would imply something mutually beneficial, which Arum doesn't do. Nonsense hes willing to send Ramirez or Lomachenko over to the UK, I aint falling for that one.

Jacobs, Miller, and Hunter were all PBC, but then they signed contracts to MatchRoom! They are no longer PBC!

Eddie Hearn is more likely to have AJ fight on Showtime rather than on ESPN because Fury has no real leverage. In addition, Matchroom Sport and Frank Warren are rivals who don't get along.

Likewise, Tyson Fury is only an invisible champion with imaginary belts but Deontay has a tangible one which is empirical for everyone can see.

was he responding to me? He’s one of the little emotional hellions I ignored pretty early on this sight lol. And the article is quite clear about Hearn having a better working relationship with arum than he does the handlers for wilder. Expressly why I don’t waste time or digital ink arguing with serial arguers

Yes he was! My thing is, if Joshua has a "fight-by-fight" contract with DAZN, then why did Hearn say "the only way for this fight to EVER happen" is for Wilder to sign a multi-fight contract with DAZN? Obviously that's the ONLY way!

Nobody cares about fat Fury, he's irrelevant fighting bums like Schwarz.

                    Hearn has never said that.

If you think he did, try finding that quote and post a link to it here.
