Took a while before Thurman, Porter, Garcia faced each other. You make it sound as if they didn't go through fighting clowns after clowns after clowns such as Karass, Bundu, Diaz, Malignaggi, Collazo, Judah, and all these semi-retired fighters. And you were okay with it.

Lopez has just been recently making a name for himself and now you want him to face the top guy immediately.

And you're not the fanboy, eh?

        lol...idiot

lopez himself WANTS the fight....its not being forced on him...by me or bob arum...he WANTS IT HIMSELF...lol

and it doesn't matter when porter, Thurman, Garcia fought each other...the point is they did...their careers were moved like everyone else who started when they did....they aren't special...but they fought each other and al makes other good fights too...the point is al does put his top guys in against each other...which is always a complaint of his haters "he doesn't make good fights or make his guys fight each other"

        you are a 1st class ruh-tard

are you going to tell me amateur record and Olympic medals were his credentials? the same amateur career that was used as an excuse by his fans for the loss to salido? because a lot of guys ran around forums saying he didn't have the pro experience(which is the same to me as using his amateur career as a foundation for pro credentials)....
His credentials was only his amateur pedigree, 396-1 with 2 Olympic GOLD medals AND the fact that he would only sign the promoter who could get him a world title in his first fight.

He eventually settled with Bob and TR because they promised him a title fight in his 2nd fight. This is how he got that opportunity.

Lopez didnt have that luxury because Top Rank made Lopez. Lomachenko made himself and then signed with Top Rank.

you cant use his amateur pedigree as his "credentials" then turn around and use it as his crutch to describe why he lost to salido

and that's what has happened here....people want to use his amateur career in this argument....they want to use that as his credentials....when in the past they used his lack of pro experience as a reason he took an L to a guy that hes classes above

I don't think his amateur credentials can be used on both sides ....at least that doesn't fly with me

talking about gvozdyk beating Adonis or Crawford beating burns isn't suprising....they all do it.....but why are people excusing bob already for not making lopez/loma? its a logical in house fight he can make.....but I bet he wont.....why are people saying "lopez hasn't beaten anyone or proven anything" when loma didn't either and got his title shot?
It's not that logical if your Bob Arum and you think Lopez has what it takes to be a superstar in the sport.

He knows Lopez is not staying at 135 for much longer and the kid is still a prospect honestly. If he thrives him in with Lomachenko and he gets embarrassed, it derails his career for the time being and all the shine he's built up is gone.

At some point they gotta make the right decision for the fighter for his career.

I love that the kid wants the fight, that speaks volumes about him when you compare him to someone like Tank Davis who is a champion and wants no part of the same fight but in reality is it the best move at this point in his career.

I'm guessing the fight doesn't happen and Lopez goes to 140 and makes fights with Ramirez and then Taylor or Prograis and makes his name there.

If they fight next year, fantastic, but I don't think TR is in any rush to throw him in with Lomachenko just yet

Loma broke his hand knocking out Crolla,so maybe TR will give Lopez the Commey fight and he'll have a chance to become a champ now, however i think Commey beats him

I agree 100 percent....realistically its not a fight to make for bob arum as a promoter.....I totally get that...and I think bob wants to stall it with promises and talk...so that lopez moves out of weight and he doesn't have to consider it....no argument from there...I totally agree

I just don't wanna hear about lopez's lack of "credentials" as a reason for it not happening...and I don't wanna hear people bag al haymon, who actually makes good in house fights, when arum has one staring him in the face but wont make
