    What made Salido different?

Even though he is a dirty cheat he was able to put the pressure on.

While fighters like Pedreza, Crolla , marriaga from the start started running around the ring.

Pedraza who went forward and stalked Tank, Crolla who pressured Linares, Marriaga who gave Valdez hell and pressured him along with Walters.

Why cant other fighters do that?

Loma had only had 1 fights before that. Even for someone as good as Loma, fighting someone like Salido was a bit too soon.

Salido come in way overweight and was a dirty cheat too and Loma still almost knocked him out in the last round.

solido came in huge, worked the body and ****, and it was loma's first 12 round fight.

I think loma was not active enough in the early parts of the fight. I think he wasn't sure how to pace himself

Loma needed a few pro fights to get settled. I still think Loma beat Salido, especially the end where Salido’s tank was empty and Loma was battering him from all angles.

salido was going to come with the pressure regardless

a more seasoned Loma and that fight would've went the route of salido-gamboa

It was a learning experience of Lomachenko. Seriously, it was. Go watch the first uh.. 7(?) rounds. Then shut off the fight. Come back in 2 days and watch the last 5 rounds.

You're gonna see a very different fighter. Now imagine how it would look if Loma had ~12 more rounds under his belt.

salido was around 152 lbs on fight night. he was big enough to withstand lomachenko's power punches (still got badly rocked though) and bully him with low blows, head butts and elbows. dirty cheat.
