What made Salido different?

salido doesnt care about feints and could take lomas punch pretty well. all of lomas fancy tricks didnt matter to him. also loma wasn't as good as he is now. most of lomas first 6 fights were methodical borefests for the most part

Pedraza who went forward and stalked Tank, Crolla who pressured Linares, Marriaga who gave Valdez hell and pressured him along with Walters.

Cherry pick? I get why some would say that but Salido was one of the top fighters at 126 at that time. Who else was their in 2014? Up coming Walters, Nonito, the African fighter Nonito won the belt from, Russell, who else? He fought all of them.

It was Lomas second fight. Most fighters wouldnt even think about fighting a guy like Salido before thier 20th fight. If Loma fought the same Salido today it would be a massacre. It's sad that a real boxing Warrior like Orlando Salido, who gave boxing fans so many great memorable fights, couldn't get his million dollar payday and direct rematch to beat Lomachencko again. Bob Arum & Lomachencko cheated & black balled Salido for beating Lomachencko and wrecking their precious pony show.

Salido has a better resume then Lomachencko, he earned his million's but was robbed by boxing politics , such a black eye to the sport.

It was Salido's workrate, body attack, and reach. He kept throwing the whole fight. Also Lomachenko never got the distance right until much later in the fight. I think he underestimated Salido's long reach. Salido kept touching him to the body when Lomachenko though the he was at a safe distance.

By the late rounds Salido was gassed. Probably his poor preparation seing he was overweight. That's one of the reason Lomachenko had success. I think Lomachenko would've got the best of Salido if they had a rematch but it would still be a close fight.
