In Britain the fight would only sell because Lomachenko is coming to town, the fans would definitely pack the house to see a two-time gold medalist. In America this fight is garbage because it is a super mismatch, no one gives a damn about Crolla, he has no shot.

Anyways, interested in seeing the type of attendance they got on a Friday night show at the Staples.
looks like just the half arena set up but it seems like 75% sold

Nope. I don't care about any fighter's race, nationality, or region. I care about compelling fights.

According to fans, not corrupt belt orgs, if Loma is the number 1 at lightweight, Crolla is number 99. That's what the odds reflect: an utter mismatch. If the British can get excited about that, that's on them.

I'm a boxing fan, so I will most probably watch it, but wouldn't blink if I forget about it.

I see it as 70/30, mainly because of Loma's last two performances. We'll see.

When I heard lomachenko was coming to the LA area to fight, I was interested in purchasing some tickets until I saw that he was fighting that weak ass Brit named Crolla, who Linares soundly beat twice.

I'm guessing the possibility of the Clippers or Lakers having a home playoff game is the reason for this. Obviously that didn't end up happening but they booked this venue like two months ago.

It'll still do decent numbers. Better than Porter/Ugas for sure. Can't get walk up sales for an outside fight in 40 degree weather.

I'm still excited for this, even if most of the card is mismatches, I'll be tuned in for the whole thing. Love Friday night boxing!

Hearn talking nonsense here, there’s no chance Crolla v Loma sells 40k+ tickets, and it’s not football and boxing by any stretch... it’s football quite some way out in the distance then rugby, cricket, snooker, F1, darts, golf, tennis, athletics and somewhere down the list boxing.
