I'm sure that most Garcia fans are also Canelo fans. I'm wondering how would they react if Lomachenko said that his most comfortable weight is 131 and was trying to drain lightweights to fight him at this weight for lightweight belts.

One thing that nobody can't say about this kid Lomachenko is that he is lacking in motivation and ambition. First, he wants to fight Gervonta Davis for free and now he wants to fight Mikey Garcia.

Loma ducked Pacquiao and now he's already looking to make excuses for Mikey. He's now trying to sell his mismatch by using Mikey's name. Pretty sad state of affairs in boxing. Big fights get made in spite of Arum and not because of him unless both guys are signed to his promotion.

Gervonta is scared and his team of fake thugs openly admitted that. The Mikey fight is different. Loma looks like he's making excuses here.

It's ok if Tank Davis is afraid of challenging Loma at the moment. After all, he is still young and developing at the age of 24.

On the other hand, Bob; Lomachenko's promoter has been sounding the alarm about a potential bout between Mikey Garcia and Vasyl Lomachenko for several months now. However, there has not been any serious negotiations or movements into making that fight a reality.

I don't know. Perhaps it's Al Haymon's undue influence over Mikey Garcia which is preventing that fight from happening. We will never know.

However, I do know that if Haymon is unwilling to relent on having a co-promotion between himself and Arum for the Tyson Fury /Deontay Wilder rematch then chances are this fight and Spence/Crawford would never see the light of day.

Mikey is in a bad spot, too. There really aren't any PBC guys at 135 or 140. He looked like crap at 147.

He fought a title fight at that weight barely 6 months before his recent fight at 147. That's not exactly a lifetime ago. He won't be hurting himself to drop down from 147, because he will only be losing fat. He will return to his best at 135.

Mikey, at 147, was soft and thick through the gut. At 147 he looked like he was terrible. He's not terrible, he was just fighting at 2 divisions higher than he should be.

Mikey can make 135, and it wouldn't even be difficult. He just has to be disciplined, and not stuff his face with pizza. If he is sick of the discipline required at the top of the pile, that's fine. But there is a big difference between can't make the weight and chooses not to make the weight.

Loma should not fight above 135. He barely belongs there as it is. At 135 we would get the best version of Mikey, and a good enough version of Loma.
I agree. 147 is too much for Garcia. There’s no denying it, now that it’s been seen. 140 is probably his top weight. Mikey started his career at 126, so I don’t think he’d have significant issues getting down to 135. Might even be his best weight. Lomachenko, with a slightly smaller frame, is probably at his top weight at 135. 130 is arguably Vasyl's best weight. This match-up is definitely doable. Neither fighter would be at a terrible disadvantage.
