To some he was probably borderline top 10 at the peak of his career. But unless he changes his approach/his technique/trainer, not much will be different from now on.
That left hook had its chance to bail him out from tough competitions to cherrypicks and it failed him.

Maybe during the rematches to those close losses he’ll get lucky.

Still glad he ****d Khan doe lol

Nowhere near p4p, and never has been.

His father was his downfall. He stayed relevant while he had a belt but those behind the scenes were certainly happy when he lost. He is now kept out of the limelight so as to keep his father from getting any air time. There is little to no chance that they will get a public platform ever again. Danny can fight...but his father can't shut up and even in boxing circles his views are considered too extreme for the mainstream.

Porter gave Broner second loss, now he gave Garcia his second loss.
I believe Garcia is now where Broner was then. It is all downhills.

                Hey now.

                Danny took on everyone

                Mattysee
                Khan
                Thurman
                Porter

                And he split those 2-2.

Not like he wasn’t in the Thurman fight either.

Guy is a very solid champ

Guy fought Thurman, Porter, and now is fighting Granados as a tune up. None of those fights are easy. Even Porter's dad complained about how hard Porter was matched up after the Granados fight.

Sure, he ducking Spence, but that goes for everyone at the weight class so...
Of course, he did. Those fights were easy to take because they were title bouts. In addition, it's true. He has only fought two titleholders in the past five years; With one of them being undefeated in Keith Thurman while the rest of his opposition has been cherrypicks including the one he is challenging next.

He was never in my top 10 pfp even after beating Matthysse and certainly never as a welterweight. Who did he beat that was so good at 147? He has some decent wins but he is mainly a cherry picker fighting guys he is almost certain to beat like Rios and Granadios. I never had him higher than top 20 pfp and I don't think he will ever be top 10 for me. I don't have today's Thurman or Porter top 10 now or ever did either. Crawford an Spence are very high up on my top 10 list and I think they are by far the two best welterweights.
